I just do not understand how so many people can compare Kikyo and Kagome, they are so different ... I admire the two, they are incredible, but I just do not like the Kikyo (I have my reasons), I love Kagome. Kagome accepts Inuyasha for who and what he is. There's no doubt in my mind that Kikyo loved Inuyasha dearly. But she wanted to change him, which I feel is wrong. When you love someone, you love them for everything that they are. So, in my opinion, Kikyo loved Inuyasha, but not enough. Kagome on the other hand saw no flaw in Inuyaha being half-demon and married him without even suggesting that he change. Awesome vid by the way.

I love the "Kikyo is dead" excuse. But when a story is about a human and a vampire falling in love, no one seems to give a crap that the vampire's nothing but a walking corpse. Sorry, try again. And she's special because she's beautiful, regal, kind, strong, powerful...etc. While Kagome is the most generic character ever created (aka, a Mary Sue). Her existence is to be a Mary Sue so that the boring Mary Sues of the world can put themselves in her shoes and feel like they're living her life.
Nobody said that Kagome is extraordinary. But unlike other ordinary characters, she has maturity and strength to give support to the main protagonist. Unlike other generic characters, she doesn't have every single male falling in love with her and praising her for the things she has not done
Kikyo's kindness does not exceed Kagome's as both of them want to help people. However, her priestess power is the extent of her strength. She doesnt have much else going on. And her hatred has consumed her

And he doesn't appear often. Kikyo cares for other people, so does Kagome. She constantly persuades Inuyasha to help others while they look for Naruku, even when he pretends that human affairs are none of his concern. She even saved Kikyo out of kindness, who acted pretty ungrateful.
I'm not saying Kagome's not kind, but Kikyo is kinder because she even helps those who don't deserve it (Onigumo). And no I'm not making "shit" up. She whines all the damn time! "Iuyasaha Inuyahsha! Inuyasha!" Spare me that shit it's annoying, and so is she. And I'm fairly certain Koga's feelings for her are deep. And that lame guy at her school has a crush on her too. Not to mention Jenenji (spelling?).
Have you ever heard of something called an example? I have plenty more but I don't feel like wasting anymore of my time. And just because they were in just a few epsidoes doesn't mean they don't have feelings for her. What kind of logic is that? Fall back.
Have you heard of something called "irrelevant example"? The logic is that they are not recurring characters. Have you seen Fushigi Yuugi or Marmalade Boy? Now those characters and their wishy washy love is annoying. This is just a few fleeting moments that don't effect the story. Hojo is not an important character, he barely appears and Kagome always avoids him, and the reason why Jiji-something fell in love with her is because she was the first girl who was nice to him.
The example is relevant it's just flying over your head. An your logic isn't logic at all. Just because a characeter is barely there, that doesn't mean they don't have strong feelings towards the main character. And the reason why Jenenji fell in love wiht her does not detract from his love.
What seems to fly over your head is that YOUR example has completely different circumstances and setting. Just because vampires are undead too they are supposed to have some sort of similarities to Kikyo? Really? You are completely ignoring Ihuyasha's character and the circumstances. Her love is not enough for them to be together, Inuyasha has to be in love with her too. And his love is wavering between her and Kagome and leans more towards Kagome.

Inuyasha didn't follow Kikyo on a number of occasions out of his free will and he always felt guilty for doing so. Later in the series he always looks at Kagome for some sort of an OK to do so. His love is fluctuating. His friends know, Kikyo knows. Inuyasha is the only dumbass who is still clueless.

I said that both Kikyo and vampires stand still in time, they both feed off of innocent people living or dead for survival, both are only a fraction (be it big or small) of the human they were before. And yes, these traits are similar to the other dead characters on inuywasha as well. And as far as human fang bangers and inuyasha, they both have to deal with these traits in their loversm and it brings them pain because they know that their loves are doomed creatures.

Inuyasha doesn't love Kagome because she looks like Kikyo, he loves Kagome because she is Kagome. He doesn't even seem to love Kikyo that much. The love triangle is just dumb that should've ended in the 1st half of the series.
After Kagome saved Kikyo, Inuyasha did not go after her. Because he cared more about kagome's feelings than Kikyo. And Kagome's actions impacted him and humbled him.
The story is not about vampires, so there is no contradiction. Lame analogies should be left at the door. Bottom line is that Inuyasha is alive and doesn't seem to even want to die, and Kikyo wants to die and take him to hell. Even if there was no Kagome, there would still be no happy ending for them.
The point is not that the story is about vampires. The point is, vampires a dead and fall in love and no one seems a problem with it. And Kikyo, another dead creature falls in love and suddenly it's wrong? BULL SHIT! And he has said he would go to hell for her.
Bringing vampires into this is the mother of all bullshit. The story is not about vampires. And in almost every vampire story that love IS impossible. Something has to happen for the 2 people to be together. Kikyo can't find peace in the human world, and Inuyasha likes life too much to go to hell with her. Either way, their love is impossible. They made a cute couple when she was alive, but that was then.
You are missing the point again. I'm not saying Inyasha is about vampires! My point is people love the vampire human thing (whether its forbidden or not) so it's silly to use that as an excuse against Kikyo.

I love the "Kikyo is dead" excuse. But when a story is about a human and a vampire falling in love, no one seems to give a crap that the vampire's nothing but a walking corpse. Sorry, try again. And she's special because she's beautiful, regal, kind, strong, powerful...etc. While Kagome is the most generic character ever created (aka, a Mary Sue). Her existence is to be a Mary Sue so that the boring Mary Sues of the world can put themselves in her shoes and feel like they're living her life.

When does Kagome cry every 5 minutes? Making shit up now ? The only male who is really in love with her is Inuyasha. Koga doesn't really seem like he cares for her that much. And he doesn't appear often. Kikyo cares for other people, so does Kagome. She constantly persuades Inuyasha to help others while they look for Naruku, even when he pretends that human affairs are none of his concern. She even saved Kikyo out of kindness, who acted pretty ungrateful.

Have you heard of something called "irrelevant example"? The logic is that they are not recurring characters. Have you seen Fushigi Yuugi or Marmalade Boy? Now those characters and their wishy washy love is annoying. This is just a few fleeting moments that don't effect the story. Hojo is not an important character, he barely appears and Kagome always avoids him, and the reason why Jiji-something fell in love with her is because she was the first girl who was nice to him.

Just because vampires are undead too they are supposed to have some sort of similarities to Kikyo? Really? You are completely ignoring Ihuyasha's character and the circumstances. Her love is not enough for them to be together, Inuyasha has to be in love with her too. And his love is wavering between her and Kagome and leans more towards Kagome.

Being dead is not enough to make them similar. That's just the state of their being. Kikyo and vampires are absolutely different creatures under completely different circumstances.
Throughout the series Inuyasha never thinks or seeks Kikyo out. All of his actions point towards his love for Kagome. It is idiotic for the writers to still drag that love triangle out for such a long time. When Kagome is concerned, Kikyo is instantly forgotten. That love drama makes is dumb, so are your insults.

If undead is the only similarity you can point out, you just failed on all accounts. Lets clam together all of the undead characters and pretend they are all similar just because you sad so.
Inuyasha didn't follow Kikyo on a number of occasions out of his free will and he always felt guilty for doing so. Later in the series he always looks at Kagome for some sort of an OK to do so. His love is fluctuating. His friends know, Kikyo knows. Inuyasha is the only dumbass who is still clueless.

I said that both Kikyo and vampires stand still in time, they both feed off of innocent people living or dead for survival, both are only a fraction (be it big or small) of the human they were before. And yes, these traits are similar to the other dead characters on inuywasha as well. And as far as human fang bangers and inuyasha, they both have to deal with these traits in their loversm and it brings them pain because they know that their loves are doomed creatures.

Inuyasha doesn't love Kagome because she looks like Kikyo, he loves Kagome because she is Kagome. He doesn't even seem to love Kikyo that much. The love triangle is just dumb that should've ended in the 1st half of the series.
After Kagome saved Kikyo, Inuyasha did not go after her. Because he cared more about kagome's feelings than Kikyo. And Kagome's actions impacted him and humbled him.

Something has to happen for the 2 people to be together. Kikyo can't find peace in the human world, and Inuyasha likes life too much to go to hell with her. Either way, their love is impossible. They made a cute couple when she was alive, but that was then.
