  • fantastic music...... embarrassing movements

  • Ho i brividi..........!

  • brilliant!

  • Great and unique moves by David, like always :) Great original song by a great band, great cover by Balanescu quartet and this is nice gig too

  • Nice arrangements!

  • Fantastic song, but fantastic singer and composer....

  • His dancing remembers me of a great italian actor Toto'. Brilliant

  • Looking for the model.. stumbled upon the addams family!

  • :D Wow, at first I was a bit sceptic... BUT: the choice of instruments, voice and performance do fit together ;-)

  • Sie sind klingende ausgezeichnet! Ach ja.

  • Byrne vogues to Kraftwerk - genius

  • Time to stop surfing youtube.

  • this balanescu album is so fucking good, throw in david and some kraftwerk and some strings who knew!

  • What a collaboration!

  • Byrne's dancing makes me proud to be a white guy. And I mean that seriously.

  • Notwithstanding Byrne's idiotic dance - absolutely brilliant!

  • autentica porqueria

  • Brilliant!! One of the best covers I've heard so far.

  • no words, just sonds.

  • I thought it was fun and very edgy and almost classical, sorry I loved it.

  • It's well but I prefer the trilogy's version ;)

  • This version is deservedly obscure.

  • I'm so glad I discovered this music on Pandora!

  • One of the most underrated performers of our time.

  • This is actually a bit shit and cringeworthy. Pity cos I like both.

  • I love both Balanescu Quartet and David Byrne separately, but I saw them live back in 98, and I wasn't much impressed. The same way I'm not that impressed with this performance; this mimic of Ralph Hutter's voice doesn't fit too well, and the "robot" moves are a bit clownish. The theremin adds an interesting touch but it's overdone.

  • Incredible performance! I don't remember this one! Distinctively Byrne! such a unique rendering! Wish that West 54th was still around.

  • Can I find this or any of Balanescu's Kraftwerk covers anywhere... Please... I have this balanescu cover on CD but without David Byrne... I want it all... Brilliant !

  • No me canso de ver este video, ni de escuchar el disco completo "possessed"

Me encanta como le sacan el sonido a los instrumentos

  • pure, unadulterated awesome.

  • i always felt this song was a superb composition in melody line, riff and hook. the power of the song could be covered in any style and still sound great.

  • @orgasmosis theres one on here somewhere done by a Norwegian accordion folk band that is absolutley fantastic

  • David Byrne is my hero!!!!

  • Is the girl on keyboards the same girl who sings with david byrne on miss america? what is her name?

  • her name is Christina Wheeler, and she's a very talented producer/performer in her own right.

  • Very very nice, I love balanescu´s versions of kraftwerk´s songs and this with "talking heads" head was awesome !

  • Alexander Bălănescu was a founding member of the Michael Nyman Band, if anyone is interested in hearing more of his great playing!

  • where can I download or buy this song??

  • try Amazon - Cd is called 'Possessed'.

Alexander Balanescu seems to spend most of his time performing abroad - a shame.

  • KRS ONE gives respect to KRAFT WORK as pioneers in Hip Hop music. Check ROBOT video KRS ONE and Buck shot.

  • is there anywhere you can buy this? i cant find it on itunes..

  • If I want to simply describe the music of Krafwerk I should say they were the Star Wars of Electro Music. They started a new age!!! Nothing compares to them in that style.

  • kraftwerk's original was already in german dumbass

  • Sorry, but I didn't know that, but calling me a dumbass is not appropriate for my situation, you know. I hardly know Kraftwerk, just heard the name, never really listened to them. And as I already stated, I'll take a closer look onto them.

  • Rammstein covered this song in german. Interesting to hear the original.

  • I think you may need to learn a thing or two about Kraftwerk, Mr PoeticBullets. Their electronic music is incredible, was way ahead of the pack and has had a massive influence on music ever since, hence bands like Rammstein bringing it to your attention.

  • Thanks for the info, I'll take a closer look on them. I'm not a Mr, by the way ;)

  • amazing

David byrne is simply brilliant ..so is the quartet

  • pero qué buen baile!

  • dangggg David Bryne's dance moves!

  • Pretty awesome, but one of the violinists was having issues at the beginning

  • usually I like byrne and TH but this is underdevelopped culture !

  • the sound could be better...but afterall.. thanx for upload

  • The more i find of David Byrne the more obsessed i become.

any tip on where i can purchase this footage?

  • Balanescu is frommy country...is from omania... I lke hthat kind of muic :D:D sounds of vioin...

  • nagyon gáz ahogy táncol a pasi....

  • That intro reminds me of Muse. Does anyone else agree?

    And, yep, that theremin... nice.

  • A brilliant performance. Rather chaotic when you hear it close but impressive. Beautiful.

  • i love this Kraftwerk song!! so simple yet brilliant!! the cover and arrangements here are awesome!!

  • I like the Quartet version but with David Byrne its awesome

  • Yes. And that originally Russian electroinstrument called "Teremin" makes it awesome*2:-)

  • Wow, its the weirdest instrument i have ever seen.

  • *theremin

  • It is an awesome thing.

  • Hahahaha I love it!

  • So who's the hot redhead at 0:40?

  • Her name is Claire Connors. For many years the second violin of the quartet.

  • Wow, a really self-conscious robot/pop'n'lock. How bizarre, haha. David Byrne FTW!

  • Awesome!! Thank you so much! I saw this many years ago and been looking for this since then. Love the Balanescu Quartet! Great album, great arrangement. Specially like this song and 'Want Me', with Miranda Sex Garden. Thanks for sharing.

  • Awesome.

    Thanks for the vid dude!

  • Superb arrangement.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!
