I took it to mean that being the fastest man alive, he was outrunning any woman interested in him (the joke being he's a wuss or something. That was sort of vaguely funny, but I couldn't see why it was a shock for a 'kids' show.)

Only after pondering the comments a minute and what everyone was pointedly not saying did I get the other unfortunate implication. Than I found it considerably funnier and it all made sense.
