Smart move changing from calling a round ' Non Lethal' which was and still is being bandied around as an option, to calling it 'Less than Lethal'. To many grey areas for the term Non Lethal,  to be proven wrong - a truly Non Lethal projectile would be next to useless, Less than Lethal gives you the legal 'out' for the times it does over step the name eh.

@applepiewithtoast Well in most riot situations, the targets remain in a stationary mob. You could adjust the power for one target, and use that same setting for all the people in the mob as they'll all be at roughly the same range.

@applepiewithtoast I guess there may be enough time for the adjustment as it is used in situations whereby there is usually not much attacks (e.g. gun fire) directed to the users. So essentially the users do not need to take cover very often and have more time for aiming.

you wont fall down from a paintball, even filled with mace, plus paintballs barely have any range, and this can hit someone from 230 ft, way better than a paintball gun; if paintballs were as affective as you think they are, they wouldnt make rubber bullets

the point of non lethal weapons and riot control weapons are to stop the fighting not "knock you down" as you think they are and bull shit paintalls dont have range you can hit someone from 75 feet with a paintball gun on limited psi. (most paintball feilds regulate your psi.) with limiter off you could probably go at least 130 ft im just saying that you dont need a super expensive peice of equipment to get the job done also its quite obvious that you have never been hit by mace before

well were not going for sniping here its about riot control within 30 feet and yes people would be scared who wants to be shot by a fast moving ball with no protection and smart parts paintball has a system called a smart bolt which never ever and is impossible to break a paintball and clearly you have never seen any other paintball gun besides a tippman 98 there are plenty of tactical/real looking paintball guns the only way you can tell is because of no mag slot, huge barrell and the feed neck

An airsoft gun doesn't even begin to stack up against one of these rounds. The fps may be slightly less, however the round is massive when compared to the 6mm airsoft bb.

I agree that an airsoft gun can hurt like hell as I'm an avid airsofter myself. However, if you start to add heavier weights to such a small rigid projectile I would think that you would start to risk breaking the skin which is not the point of LTL technology. This works by causing blunt trama to the target which is more likely to stop a person, rather than simply hurt them with an airsoft gun. That is at least my understanding of how this weapon system works.

Yeah I guess that would hurt and it would most likely break up a crowd once they see someone get shot, cuz it can hurt like hell. I know if I got shot by an aeg like that I'd leave. I still think this has greater knock down power and can stop an enraged crowd over a bb though.
