Naturally the scene where she's crying because she's getting spanked has been censored by all the AIDS infected aging greedy Marxist Feminist prostitute Thought Police who want all cute kids exterminated in Planned Parenthood incinerators to stamp out that archaic notion of motherhood and family all those billion Muslims are taking over the world by encouraging.
I saw Sybil in The Changing of the Guard and wondered who this little girl was. I did not realize that she had played "Becky" so I did some looking online. I ordered her first two books. After reading them, I had to wonder what in the world was wrong with Zanuck's thinking! After seeing these clips, I now wonder what was wrong with Jack Warner's!
Shirley Temple never turned such moving performances as seen in these scenes. I feel like the world was robbed of a truly talented child!
@teremason In some ways I agree with you. I don't think either Jack Warner or Darryl F. Zanuck utilized Sybil's talents to the fullest. I think that she was a great child actress and if Jack Warner came up with better vehicles for her, she could have easily rivaled Shirley Temple.
However, regarding Temple, I think that both ladies were very talented and the studios saw a formula for these child actresses instead of giving them more challenging material, as L.B. Mayer would do with Margaret
Hello everyone: This was my very first movie as WB's first kid star under long term contract and was lucky enough to be directed by the marvelous Michael Curtiz.
So sorry ( for those who have asked) that for some reason my clip from Changing of the Guard is no longer available on YouTube. I also wonder why. Blessings Sybil Jason
The Stanistovsky Method...really? And here I thought that Sybil had been adopted and dropped again just for this acting scene. So, SJ, as signed you are not really Sybil are you. What are you? Just a press agent. Nothing less. Nothing more.
wow! I just discovered Sybil, as well as Jane Withers and especially Baby Rose Marie. I'm so in awe of the raw natural talens of the 20s 30s and 40s. Beautiful!
You are very sweet, yaya girl and I do thank you for being so complimentary. As an adult and when I used to get together
with some of my fellow actors they would discuss the Stanistovsky Method of acting. I never agreed with most of it...too darn complicated just to get to an emotion but you know what>>> I think, as a child I was practising some of it just by imagining what this little girl was going through ( and not me) and the tears came forth with no problems at
although im only 20, but im in love with the 1930s era, specialy with you and shirley temple, because you both represented the innocence of the time back then
@wbkid1 And that must be very hard for a man like you. You have heard that Sybil Jason, the real Sybil is going public and then what will you have to write about then I wonder
Sybil Jason! what an honor!, I realy admire your work! ,would your please answer this question? how is it that at such a young age could you master a crying scene? when most adult actors struggle doing it?
where you pretending to cry? Or they took away your mom to force you to cry? because that's what they used to do with Shirley temple
As an adult when we actors used to get together we discussed
the Stanlistovsky Method and I disagreed with it for the most part. Much too complicated just to get to an emotion. But looking back I probably used some of it as a kid because I sued to imagine what the poor little girl was going through ( and NOT me) and the tears came like gushers. Hope that explains it? Blessings SJ

That's not bad picture quality for 1935. It doesn't look like it's been remastered.
