i prefer the phones with itunes apps on it. android store has very few good apps. itunes apps are way way better, especially the games. the only thing i like about android phones is that they have chep plans but i hope the android market will have better games soon.

@chippymaggs216 Trust me - you do NOT want it! There's hardly ANY support for the MT3G. G1 users get more attention. It's laggish, a bit buggy, has apps you can't uninstall, 1-3 day delay w/ Google's G-Mail sync, compose G-Mail keyboard glitch, outdated since launch in August '09 (and still is, software-wise), pricing and features don't match, etc. The list goes on and on. If you're with T-Mobile, just stick w/ a Samsung phone - can't go wrong with them :)

ringback tones you have to go to tmobile website, log in and look for "callertunes" from there it lets you assign it to certain people, all, or certain times during the day, or random jukebox. hope that helps

i owned this phone and jus swapped it for a blackberry. the keyboard sucks sooo much and is not good if you like myself need to get a message across in the least amount of time possible. Out of 10 id rate it a 7 because the apps are really kool even though its just like an iphone.
To bad you switched phones. I hated the small keyboard too but they just released the Swype Keyboard. lets you swype across letters and spells words out for you. Its actually accurate

the web browsing is ok. It's not like the iPhone. There is no flash and when you want to take a picture and you press the trackball it takes about 4 seconds to actually take the picture. Yes you can use myspace (mobile or desktop) they both are good.
Well i prefer this to the iphone. it has the removable micro sd card which now comes up to 32 Gigs. iphone will max out at around 8-16 gigs i believe. So if you like having alot of info and storage capabilty i would choose this phone. The only thing lacking is the camera doesn't have a flash. gives this phone a 9/10 for me

I LOVE MY THIS PHONE, it does alot and apps are cool and you can truly personalize this phone to your flavor inside and out meaning the covers can personalized too
I saw the review of the motorolas new droid and the iphone and the droid was just as good if not better than the iphone, but i have a g1 and i can already tell the mytouch isnt much different maybe faster. So pretty much its on the same level as the motorola droid and iphone. You cant go wrong with any of them.
if you take it to a shop thay will give you free internet even if you dont have a computer or router (free wi-fi) its awsome!!!! btw ifyou use the internet its 10$
Right now there is no other but the iPhone in my area I have fairly good coverage and the apps that give me the tools to get it done after using the Iphone for 4-5 months everything else seems......unfinished I think the iphone will eventually be unseated and the iphone has its weaknesses mostly At&t but for now it is what it is

From what I see, not really much of any change from the G1 as far as function. Only difference is aesthetics. It does look a lot better than the G1. So not enough for me to get this phone. I'll stick with my trusty G1 for now. For me, I prefer the keyboard instead of the virtual keys.
I am still perhaps holding out for the Xperia X3, aside from VGA recording instead of HD, this may truly be the iPhone killer and once you see the specs I am sure you will agree they blow the iPhone out of the water in just about every catagory.
Well, I must respectfully disagree. BTW I am a T-Mobile myTouch 3G owner and i can tell you while the Android OS kicks major butt as compared to the iPhone here are some things to consider, I also owned an iPhone 3G and recently switched from it to Android (and will never go back), that being said however mT3G has cannot hold a candle to the iPhone 3GS' hardware, it would be just ridiculous to make that claim....for proof go check out the camera and video recording on 3GS as compared to the mT3G
I have one of those, and ya they're actually good. But if u want a tmobile phone, get the mytouvh 4g or samsung 2 its so cool

With the mytouch you really gotta mess around on it and put on some minor settings wich I think brings out it's sharpness.
It's a great phone and I recommend it to anyone in the T-Mobile service. It has alot of apps (Which some are so cool they freak me out)

I saw the review of the motorolas new droid and the iphone and the droid was just as good if not better than the iphone, but i have a g1 and i can already tell the mytouch isnt much different maybe faster. So pretty much its on the same level as the motorola droid and iphone. You cant go wrong with any of them.

if you take it to a shop thay will give you free internet even if you dont have a computer or router (free wi-fi) its awsome!!!! btw ifyou use the internet its 10$

Right now there is no other but the iPhone in my area I have fairly good coverage and the apps that give me the tools to get it done after using the Iphone for 4-5 months everything else seems......unfinished I think the iphone will eventually be unseated and the iphone has its weaknesses mostly At&t but for now it is what it is

From what I see, not really much of any change from the G1 as far as function. Only difference is aesthetics. It does look a lot better than the G1. So not enough for me to get this phone. I'll stick with my trusty G1 for now. For me, I prefer the keyboard instead of the virtual keys.

I am still perhaps holding out for the Xperia X3, aside from VGA recording instead of HD, this may truly be the iPhone killer and once you see the specs I am sure you will agree they blow the iPhone out of the water in just about every catagory.

On the iphone you have to pay for 99% of the apps. On the Mytouch most apps are free or they are very cheap.
In the long run My touch Rules my friend has it in school all he does is play with it all day.

Well, I must respectfully disagree. BTW I am a T-Mobile myTouch 3G owner and i can tell you while the Android OS kicks major butt as compared to the iPhone here are some things to consider, I also owned an iPhone 3G and recently switched from it to Android (and will never go back), that being said however mT3G has cannot hold a candle to the iPhone 3GS' hardware, it would be just ridiculous to make that claim....for proof go check out the camera and video recording on 3GS as compared to the mT3G
