  • She won & UK didn't c:

  • Seriously there's nothing wrong with the music to this, it's just a shame it wasn't re-released with english lyrics. It's as if the song just wasn't finished. I not against Spanish only the la la la bit.

  • This song won because everybody can understand it!!

    Congratulations Massiel!

  • I think she's still celebrating that day since she's always drunk as hell.

According to a documentation on the Spanish television the franco-regime should have bribed these jurors to polish up the image of her country. There ar

  • Lyrics translated la la la... I sing to the morning which sees my childhood And to the sun Which brings us anxiety Everything in this life is like a song they sing for you since you were born and also when they say goodbye la la la... I sing for my mother Which gave live to me I sing for my land Which saw me growing up And I sing the day When I felt love for the first time During my life I learned this song la la la...
  • If Spain were to replace "Na,Na,Na" with sometthing like "Eres Tu",then nobody can argue who should be the winner.

  • 6 britain people didn't accepted YET that Massiel won with this beautiful song!

  • Tiene muy buena voz

  • Congratulations, jealous people

  • English people haven't accepted yet that we won that year. Fuck you, bad losers!

  • Love this song. I consider it as an anthem for that item which this contest is meant to be: The SONG:

I sing to the morning...I song to the sun... Everything in life is like a song. People sings when you are born and also sing when you say good-bye: LA-LA-LA..

  • SPAIN RULES! GREAT SPAIN!

  • You "Dirty" Albion" are so envious... But I am glad to hear that spanish make you laugh. Other countries had made you cry. If Massiel won the contest is because european considered it was good. Not other reason. And for the ones that think Franco was the responsible, thanks for cosider him so great. The money Spain had came from the litres of beer you brtihish and european, weren´t allowed to drink in your countries.

  • That dirty facist Franco. He robbed Spain of freedom but, worst of all, he robbed Cliff of Eurovision!

  • Dirty fascists. They robbed democracy, but most of all, they robbed Cliff!

  • Christ Almighty! This song was hailed as £Eurovision at its worst" and referred to as "a piece of rubbish" and they weren't bloody kidding. The greatest miscarriage of victory in the history of this contest... and it was only 1968. Sorry, this did not deserve to win at all and I wouldn't be surprised if the juries were rigged. Cliff Richard was robbed. :P

  • a simple song....but very intense in a way that it gives joy and passion for music as an expression......simplicity sometimes has a deep impact on all kinds of phenomenons.......

  • Cliff Rules!

  • I love this song. I can't help it. I think it's a really good representation of the era's style. Maybe I'm wrong though...

  • The chorus is nice and easy to remember la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.

This was on a TV programme in the UK called worst Eurovision songs.

  • Why so hate against Massiel? Under a technical opinion, she sings perfectly. I respect the major preferences for "Congratulations", but in 1968 just and only the juri was able to evaluate the performace of the entries. They had their reasons to give the victory to Spain that time.

  • @Asesino511: Yes, it was because Franco was filling their pockets with large amounts of cash if they did vote for Spain.

  • Mr. Mascolo was by far better!!!, also with a better song.

  • SIMPLY THE BEST SONG IN THE CONTEST THAT YEAR ... IT DESERVED TO WIN!

  • That song started to give Eurovision a bad name

  • The only stupid thing here is this song and its ridicolous lirics.

  • @Deipnosofista maybe its because you do not understandit!

  • It's a good tune

  • you stupid a**holes, you should listen to the lyrics she sings and not just focus on that damn lalalala.... she sings kinda good, her voice is awesome and the lyrics too, just beautiful.

  • @elisamavie The only stupid thing here is this song and its ridicolous lyrics.

  • Simply shit

  • @Deipnosofista una polla pa ti ,

  • i don't think you guys know but it turned out that general franco bribed all the judges that year for spain to win... it's a dreadful song!

  • great song, great voice...

  • Better then Cliff Richards and Wenke Myrrhe? Unbelievable!

  • the lyrics must have been written on the back of a fag packet

  • Those were the days when they were real orchestras and each country send its own orchestra director, nowadays the whole thing is fake, playback 100 per cent

  • This beat "Congratulations"... This beat "Congratulations"

    so what's the song about?

  • apart from the La la la; the song talks about the greatfulness to be alive; thanking her mother for letting her come to this world, thanking the sun that shines every morning; thanking the land that saw her grow up

  • I was in the audience at the Royal Albert Hall at the time and from the very first note of this song I knew that it was a winner

  • @BRIGANTIUM2 must have been incredible being there; how old were you

  • I am 65 years old (a 60s child) and at the time I lived in London with my French lover, we were there together that magic night. I'll never forget it

  • YES IS A VERY RIDICULOUS SONG...LIKE AMERICAN PIE...SHIT¡¡¡

  • The verses are what helped this win. If it was al the way like the chorus, it would've been a clone of "Congratulations"... It had some mystery, some fun, love it! :-)

  • La primera emisión de Eurovisión en color. Naturalmente fue Francia, Alemania e Inglaterra. En españa estariamos hasta el 73 en byn

  • This song is really horrible. A real piece of trash.

  • with a song like this

Diana Ross would still forget the lyrics..

  • @javimahai No, I'm Italian.

  • Reading the text, everyone can realize the "incredible deep meaning" that someone wants to give to this song. Nursery-rhymes for infants are certainly better than this song.

  • @Deipnosofista This is the best winning of the eurovision of spain! i know, its la la la la lalalalalallalalalalllalal.... but its beautiful!

  • Here's the english translation of this song: "I sing to the morning which sees my youth And to the sun that brings us new hope day by day Everything in life is like a song Which is sung when you were born and also on your farewell La lalala lalala lalala... I sing to my mother who gave me my life I sing to the earth which has seen me growing And I sing to the day when I felt love Walking through life I learned this song La lalala lalala lalala... (ad libitum)"
  • I'm truly sorry for those who like this song. Incredible is only the fact that this song won.

  • @MARIOlS23 I'm truly sorry for those who like this song. Incredible is only the fact that this song won.

  • La la la la la la la la, is that a song? Seems the composer ran out of ideas, for the corus!

  • @phil1958uk You're right. This is not a song, it's simply a nonsense-ryme

  • Comment removed

  • @Deipnosofista You're right indeed! This is really a very ridiculous winning performance!

  • @TaburDamu Yes, this is the worst sonf of ESC 1968. Ridicolous and ugly song.

  • @Deipnosofista you are such a sore loser :P :D

  • @kingwilson06ad HA, HA, HA Please, don't make us laugh!!!!

  • Which country?

  • She won - and Cliff Richard had a big hit worldwide.... That's justice...

  • Becuse La la la means the same in every launguage so everyone can understand it

  • How could she win?? the only thing she says is la,la,la, LOL!
