That's not a Reissue. It's a regular Gibson USA Guitar of the Week #8. Reissues are made in the Custom Shop, bit misleading to call that one.

Your naming example doesn't quite work because only Custom Shop guitars have Reissue as part of their name. In your example as this guitar isn't made there it wouldn't and shouldn't be called 'Bob'.

Because he throws his guitars around like a wildman. If he drops a $400 ESP Viper and breaks the headstock, he only cries a little, as opposed to what would happen if he dropped a vintage Les Paul and broke it. Fact is, wood and electronics can carry you only so far. Tone is in the fingers, and if you notice, Phil sounds like Phil whatever instrument he's playing.

Sure. If you buy the ESP Viper. But he plays the ESP LTD Viper 400, which used to run $400-600 (now discontinued). I think he talks about them on one of his videos, about why he plays them (sound good, easy to play, cheap to replace).
