yeah i think this is just an illusion. bcuz how would they stop a laser beam in mid air? if this was real (maybe it is im not sure) there also would be holograms. good real holograms

@MrMortjon, 3D images can be produced in mid-air using converging high-energy lasers. The reason it's not done often is because the converging beams turn the air into plasma, and this in turn creates ozone, which is poisonous to us.

And, of course, if someone steps into the path of the beam, they'll probably get burned pretty bad, and at the very least will risk their eyesight.

Same thing can be done in a more easily excidted medium, but then, it wouldn't be "in mid air".

Yes you need a projection medium - can be waterscreen or as this is over the audience its likely to be a black sharkstooth guaze suspended from the ceiling. In a dark room they cannot be seen as they're quite translucent to start with and a very open weave.
