Sorry to bug you again with questions mate, but may I ask, where did you get all those steam engine sounds featured in the video?

@TheFattHatt1943 None of the sound effects are from the game itself.

As noted in the credits, I started off with a small selection of sounds given to me by Chris and Jim522 years ago. Since then, I've gradually expanded my library thanks to sites like soundogs. Also occasionally get SFX by de-vocalizing the soundtracks of the newer episodes - found some good stuff in Hero of the Rails, which I used for the first time in this video.

@ThomastheE2engine Built an invisible track, raised it up to a high angle and simply ran an invisible loco down it :)

@ThomastheE2engine Mine came with Trainz 2009; didn't have to downoad it or anything. You should be able to find it under the list of locos as "inv train"

@CookieMonster4Sael Thanks. In terms of the moving cameras, I was equally inspired by your own work (i.e. @ 0:20 in Meet Brad). Don't feel I got quite the same results though. I assume you've used pantographs to achieve certain shots? Still trying to figure those out myself.

@NewController01 Yeah, had already filmed the scene with Bill and Ben, plus the bit where Edward gets diverted into the siding before the '09 model was released. I redid them both with the new model , but decided to sneak in that shot you mentioned, because I'm lazy like that :P

Brilliant angles and loads of activity going on in the background. If only the CGI series had as great "action" shots

Plus I loved the little dig at the engine's ability to change the points themselves

@theirishthomas I noticed that too. If that was an SI3D route, that must've been a goof.

@crazyracer12 Actually used the coastal route from Train4755 3D for that scene. Believe it or not, that was an intentional goof to see if anyone would spot it ;-) I lowered the "track" the boat was running on to make it look like it was sinking.

And yeah, I think "occasional specials" would be the best way of describing these. It took the best part of 5 months to complete, so I'd be fooling myself if I said I had a "series" as such.
