can someone tell me how to FUCKING UN-INVERT MY UP AND DOWN for mouse controls? And I don't see ANYWHERE here to customize controls, were the devs smoking goddamn crack? The first X game at least has a gay control customization option, but you can't fucking bind anything, you can press that damn key you want bound as many times as you want but fuck-all is going to happen. sometimes it just likes to mess with your head work, but then go back to asking what key you want after you leg go of it.
@KevinLounsberry go to the menu that pops up after you open the desktop shortcut and choose Input devices, there you can change the mouse settings. Otherwise get a Joystick!
Well, about the Keycommands, live with it! It´s a fun game though and after a while that setup without a mouse becomes natural. And as its relatively old, all those special keys that are on new Keyboards are usually not recognized.

@is01231 It´s actually quite easy, either you use the Autopilot U key or you fly into the docking port after it opened, but mind the speed limit, there is a green bar that shows the maximum approach speed, don´t go over that speed. To get them to open the Docking port call the station by pressing C when you are at about 3 km of range and choose requesting permission to land.

They've planned to create X-Online for years. It was already advertised on the X-Tension Disk. They just create the X games to gain capital and create and test technology for X-Online.

No i cant get it to work on vista either i have tried slowing the graphics down running its compatability on xp and all the time i get a little pop up saying it will not run on anything over than vista and 200 truely does suck but i am trying to look fo a way round it there must be a way if i find it i will let you know.
Make a folder in your programs directory called X2 the threat. then copy the stuff on the disk and put it in the folder! oh and you have to download a few updates, and i don't think I have it right, so look it up on their website
My only criticism of this game is that it has a very steep learning curve. Even though the manual is huge it's nowhere near comprehensive enough, and the tutorials are patchy, you really are chucked into the game head first. Otherwise, I can't fault it. Best space sim ever.
ahh memories ^^ i liked X2 much better than X3 or XTM... If I were Egosoft, next time, I would do a game with X2's design and feeling but much better graphics. And make it online (omg, X Online!)
Yeah the X Univers online would be total pwnage! I suuureee love to play that :D! And yes, i enjoy playing x2 more then X3.. dunno why :D! I think that i got used to X2 ships and game style and i cannot acomodate with X3 :P!
