did you add in the voices in this song? i dont recall hearing that in the in dub version of angelic particles? its sounds really cool with random voices and laughs i like it sets a very trancy feel
@marduk666666666 - These were Ogg Poi from FlowToys.com. They don't make these anymore, but will be releasing an improved version sometime this year (2011). Hopefully they will last longer than the Ogg Poi, which were easy to break.
For this effect I used a delay time of 0.033 seconds (33 ms), and used contrast, saturation, and brightness controls to make the background as dark as possible...otherwise it gets really noisy with the delay. Using the "maximum" mix mode for the delays also really helps to keep the background dark and for the echoes to look right.
I'm not sure what the effect would be called in Vegas, sorry. It is a nice effect on fire....also very fun to put an RGB delay on, so that red green and blue are delayed separately! I'll try and put some more effected poi videos up soon.
dude very cool video! im using sony vegas 9.. im a total noob using it.. waht time delays might i find on it? if you know. this effect with fire would be extremely SICK!
I used the "echoes" effect in Premiere. Any sort of video delay should work, as long as you can control how the echoes mix back in with the original. In Premiere I used the "Maximum" operator.
The trails were done in editing...a video delay effect. The video camera doesn't quite capture the way the LED poi look in real life, so adding this effect makes it interesting again. Glad you like!
Very nice video... Might I ask what kind of mode your camera was in when filming this? I like the 'fade-y' effects the trails had.. or was it done from editing? Either way, it looks awesome.
that was cool......

@ethios4 what editing software do you use?

@whydoesthismattr - I made this in Adobe Premiere CS3. The echo effect is a stock Premiere video fx.
