I thought that VW Engines only made geared redrives... I saw one of their engines sometime ago, it looked really good. I tried to get more info, but they would not give out much on the redrive... would not sell it either, had to buy with the engine! Anyway it sure looked good, what happened to the geared redrive... is it history?

Great sounding... just pure power. It sounds like it just wants to go, go, go and.... go!
The VW/Porsche engine is a great engine. Lots of power even in stock form!
What are your takeof RPM's with the redrive? What sort of torque numbers are you working with? Cruise RPM's?

@relentlessx12 We use 2 x One and half inch wide belts. Rear drive. Twin CD carbs, 100 hp at 4,100rpm, take rpm 3600. cruse 3600.

Craig Thanks, yes it is great fun, have 200 hours on KR2 now. I have to other clips landing and taking off with external camera.
