One of them gave me a virus-infested flash drive with her family pictures (LOL) and WPS files. I proudly run Windows XP so I had a hard time figuring this out, because my Microsoft Word is locked (i updated my PC and i guess it locked it because I cracked / hacked the trial) I appreciate this tutorial, and you, so i'll subscribe and like. Look mate, I haven't tried openoffice, but you should give it a go but instead of choosing Microsoft Word on the Open With list, choose openoffice. Go to openoffice . org, click on the Download tab, and download it. Good luck!

@jazminecherry You sent the same message 4 times. That is not good. Please do not repeat it. What version of Ms Word are you using? Are you using Ms Word 2003 or 2007? They both worked with me. Are you sure you opened up a .wps file and not something else? Are you sure you followed the steps correctly?
