Actually for the tail pad it's like 36 bucks, I've never used a Vic traction b4 so I don't really know the cost of it but I know that the basic cost for the tail pad is like $36

@The50CalMrMcNall bottom ofcourse, it's opposite for snowboarding. Snowboarders wax their bottom for smoother gilding on the snow and skimmers/surfers for extra grip on their deck.

Hi i'm new on skimboard i am from greece and i would like to ask you why we use wax and we don't use a traction pad?

@fbsg13 you can use one or the other or both on my board i have bought traction pads and wax all over sp i pritti mutch am stuck to the board some people say that the pads eel weaRD but its all up to you

i just started skim boarding its super easy i picked up first try.... i got this crappy 10 buck board . like it gets me into the wave . but i feel like i loose so much speed. it sucks... i want to go faster and get air...idk anything about skimboarding. so like what board should i get that goes for about 70 or around that price rang ?

@ShadowBandit64 well for 10 bucks u can get a nice wood board but if u can dobble that money i would envest in a victoria skimboard i would recoment wthor a grommet or a fomie depending on you waght if ur under 100 lbs go for a grommet if you over that get a fomie acordint to you waght just google victoria skimboards and check out there web sight and choos one of there boards if you need help you can reply with any more questions or if you live in so cal go in to victorias shop in lagoona beach

there is a diffrent type of wax to do the bottom of your board its ment for less friftion and more speed so yes you do wax the bottom of your board i dont recemend it because when i usd it it seemed too loose for the way i ride i can do a video on it but i dont recomend it for the begener to starter riders

@terrero912 You can buy a cheap wooden board if you are a beginner, But you cannot buy this specific board at wal-mart. This board is homemade, But you can buy a board like this at Victoria Skimboards, Laguna Beach, CA. Or online. You can buy wax at your local surf shop, If you have any more questions be sure to ask.
