  • anyone else notice the swastika in his room in 2:20? o_O i REALLY hope that it's some military game/history book and he's not reading "mein kampf" or something... xD in any case, i find it ironic how no one spotted the swastika and yet people are having this crazy argument about racism in the messages bellow. XD

btw, this show was very popular in bulgaria in the early 90s! i was about 5 and it used to scare me soo much back then... :)

  • This series really reminds me of the movie d.a.r.y.l.

  • "ill get this game set up" *pulls out huge manual* - ahh those were the days

  • @3:12 He's sitting there talking to himself - nowadays you'd assume their on their mobile... :D

  • i liked grange hill galasy street and neighbours and heart break high

  • This was such a great show. The scene at 9:20 is quite amusing now. When he pulls into the forecourt of the Citroen show room he says "Here we are! ahh, They should have all the new models here" But the 'new models' (cars) look at least 25 yeaars old! They don't make Citroens like they use to. (tit)

  • Ah, back in the days when all children lived at home with mam and dad! lol

  • i dont remember peter shilton being in chocky not just a great keeper but a great actor aswell

  • A Sweet Boy..............

  • I was enjoying the fact that this looks like the world how I recognise it, it doesn't look like that any more, children don't say "gosh" and 12 year olds don't say "mummy", they're more likely to have mum and Kev at home than mum and dad anyway :( I wish it was still like this.

  • Should I be shocked or just laugh my ass off when I see people have these ridiculous discussions on youtube in a comment section about a kids programme?

  • I don't remember Matthew being so posh!!

  • the 'mum' character is played by a lady who i think i have seen in Chiswick lately.

  • Carol Drinkwater her name is. Ask her next time you see her!

  • I have a ginger mirkin

  • Anyway, I can see we are not going to find any middle ground that we agree on, so getting back on topic, I was just trying to put across how much childrens TV has changed, or declined over such a short period of time. (In my opinion)

  • How can the statement "Without the white race nothing matters" be considered anything other than racist? Of course it implies that ALL other races are inferior! And The Rune is propaganda - vicious, antisemetic propaganda. Islam is clearly NOT a wicked and vicious faith - some of the people who commit atrocities in its name are, however (and you can say the same for Christianity). If you really believe the crap you are spouting then you are a racist moron. We'd be better of without your kind.

  • So according to you, Nick Griffin doesn't believe that any race is inferior? So statements such as "Without the white race nothing matters" don't suggest an inequality between races then? Or that he accepted funding from Preston Wiginton, via Stormfront? Or his claim that Islam is "a wicked and vicious faith"? Or his involvement with the antisemetic publication 'The Rune'?

  • If this was made now, Mathew would be black, his friends indians and his parents a same sex couple.

  • Comment removed

  • We didnt have a choice either mate. How do you think we feel?

  • And I suspect you agree with the stereotype that dad goes out to work while mum stays at home and does the cooking and cleaning? Can't you watch an excellent old kid's show without spouting your racist crap?

  • The stereotype you speak of where children have two live in parents with dad going out to work while mum stays at home with the kids is how every expert says it works best. History also upholds this view. This is extremely well documented. You also seem to have your words mixed up because a racist is someone who believes that one race is superior / inferior to any other. I do not.

  • So the fact that your profile name pays homage to two well-known racists is a complete coincidence, I suppose? And the fact that you claim that Matthew would be black and his friends Indian would not be a negative statement about the country today?

  • Neither of the two names in my profile believe that their race is superior to any other either. Winston Churchill also said similar things but no one calls him a racist. Matthew being black and his friends Indians indeed was intended to be a negative statement about the country today and to stumble across any kids TV now you'll see that Im probably fairly accurate. Whites will be a minority in our capital by next year and MI5 are foiling terrorist threats against us on a weekly basis.

  • Oh gosh, Matthew had a Foster House tie too during the 80s!

I worse the red and black tie, part of Foster House. Good old Mr Christley!

  • He Buzzing lol 00:43

  • donde puedo conseguir esta serie en español?

  • used to love this as a kid

  • Such a brilliant series. And Wyndham. Wonderful author.
