I'm looking at a 9000aero tomoorw with 295 hp. it'll be £750 a year with elephant thats with 2 claims agaisn't me.

its becuase they are not raced around essex by chavs and they are very safe cars. don't just think 2.3 turbo its'll be a bomb to insure. the insurers know that they are owned by usually older men who do not race them. also it is saab lol the most underated car in the world. basically i mean GET ONE you will not regret it.

Nice, cant believe you can get insured on that. My dads had a 9000 CD 2.0 manual, then a 9000 CSE 2.3 Turbo- auto which was fast as fook, a 95 2.0 linear low pressure turbo in auto, a 95 2.3 aero manual and currently has a 95 Aero 2.3 Auto. But I doubt I could get a decent insurance price, im 19 with 6 points carried over from bike provisional so insurance is pretty steep on most cars, but I do have 3 years NCB which will help, but not enough sadly, fabia for me lol.

@cityflyguy my dad has a 95 also a 95 aero estate its auto but with paddles. its running more than 350hp and has been limited to 480nm as gearbox can't take much more. mainly Maptun and abbott racing stuff. i'll put some videos up when i get my 9000 aero.

i live in auckland n.z and own a 1989 saab 9000 hatch. it has a stock garret turbo few mods such as intake with hks pod filter and blow off falve and full 2 1/2 inch exhaust straight from turbo boosting 20psi. i beat a SUBARU WRX STI  V8 and are fully worked mitsi ev0 3 on the highway they stayed with me till i hit 180 kph but when i past 220 kph i left them behind.

I agree it's not magic around corners when its stock, but once its been dropped with progressive springs its respectable for a 20 year old car, Skylines cost way more my friend and these c900 can be had for less than a £1K, strap on a Ebayed GT28RS and your into 320Hp wheel power if you can fuel and map it.

There are a good bunch of Turbo 900 Saabs that have been modified in the US, UK and Europe, its not common but lots of guys do it, I think the 900 seems like an accountants car and so young guys dont give them a second look until there getting over taken at speed, lol
