From what I know, "Santa Claus" is based upon the story of a real monk who would help families that had daughters who did not have dowries (back then, you basically had to pay another family to accept a new member of the family). However, over time, the legend grew from that generous act. But, by the 19th century, Santa Claus became something else entirely, as we know him today. You know, I find it fascinating that people dismiss stories so readily w/o examining them closely.

Ever since I was a little girl, I asked my mom, "Why do people say December 25th is Jesus Birthday if it's not true?" And I would recieve no answer. It always baffled me and now that I'm older and I've done my own personal research on Easter and Christmas, I clearly see that Santa, rearranged, is Satan. From what I know, "Santa Claus" is based upon the story of a real monk who would help families that had daughters who did not have dowries (back then, you basically had to pay another family to accept a new member of the family). However, over time, the legend grew from that generous act. But, by the 19th century, Santa Claus became something else entirely, as we know him today. You know, I find it fascinating that people dismiss stories so readily w/o examining them closely.

I went to the web site of blow the trumpet. Their research is absolutely flawed. Blow the Trumpet has chosen a myopic view to support their outlook. If you really want a good understanding of St. Nicholas, then go to the History Channel and you will get a balanced historical background. I doubt that any educated historian would support the view that Blow the Trumpet has misconceived on their web site. Perhaps it is because they have not completed their research.

I visited St Nicholas' Church - it is in Turkey!!! St. Nicholas always though that every child WAS a gift from God - and he made sure every child in his village got a gift from Santa on Dec 25. That is how the legend of Santa Claus started. This was further added to when Coca-Cola (1928) added to the legend (Santa is wearing Coca-Cola's red/white colors) to get more people to drink Coke in the winter!! Because there were about 20 DIFFERENT Santa's - they made the Santa Claus we know today!!

It appears "Santa Claus" (santa being an anagram of satan) is a depiction of the god of fire "Vulcan" appearing superficially as "loving, good & generous" at the last month of the year but in return for the destruction of lives and souls in hell throughout all the days of the year (under covert diabolical identities).
Nevertheless, the true celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ (without the inclusion of the demonic evils) is good and joyous as joy came into this world when Jesus was born.

@7olusegun, Jesus was not born in the winter. In fact the bible does not give its date for only three birthdays are mention in all of scripture. 1. Pharaoh, Job's sons (celebrated their appointed days and were self motivated), 3. King Herod (who honored on this B-day the wish of John the Baptist head on a plate.). What we are commanded to celebrate is Jesus death. Man indulges in the other and is even so desperate to make God in his own image they force a b-day on Dec 25th.

Angels of God also ethusiastically broke this good news to shepherds (and even wise men from the east). Regardless of Jesus' DAY of birth, It was recorded that this day occurred (of which Christians rejoices in). Unfortunately this day had been smeared with satanic influences, but it ain't negate the true fact....

Never in the bible was Peter, Paul, John etc, etc given the titles of St. Peter, St. Paul etc. It's of the RCC's dogma doctrine(s). Anyone with the gift of discernment will know that the foundation(s) as well as the practices (etc) of the RCC ain't of God but of satan, hiding under the canopy of "superficial righteousness" (AKA Hagelian dialectic & wolf in Sheep's clothing).

Ever since I was a little girl, I asked my mom, "Why do people say December 25th is Jesus Birthday if it's not true?" And I would recieve no answer. It always baffled me and now that I'm older and I've done my own personal research on Easter and Christmas, I clearly see that Santa, rearranged, is Satan. There's alot of people who would laugh at my comment, but I don't care. Their scoffs don't hurt me. In reality, I was celebrating Christmas, a *lie*, all my life and *that* hurts.
