You know, it's obviously not intentional, but its funny how Crisis City kinda represents the "crisis" in the series itself. 06 dealt the biggest blow to the series reputation, and suddenly stopping in a stage representing wreckage from that game during Generations is kind of ironic when you think about it.

That being said, Sonic's "downfall" was VERY exaggerated. Shadow and the storybook series were SPINOFFS, and 06 was the only truly bad canon game. I even got used to the werehog in Unleashed.

Eh, somewhat. Of course it didn't play like it did in Generations and there are a lot of glitches in that game. Its was practically unfinished because Sega, Microsoft, and Sony rushed Sonic Team out the wazoo to make a game for hd consoles in which they never had experience with. So I wouldn't really reccomend it...

Good theory, but the thing is, sonic traveling back to crisis city won't affect anything since they are in a time limbo where there is no time, just places and people. So Sonic going to crisis city won't affect anything. So no worries! :)

Sonic is travelling back in time to the future where Sonic is supposed to be dead, but he had to travel through time to get to Crisis City in Sonic Next Gen. If time was restored AFTER Sonic Next Gen, then Sonic has prevented Crisis City and has now made it happen AGAIN (because him being there causes it to exist, obviously) leading Sonic's world to oblivion in the future again as if time and space was never fixed in Next Gen. o__O

Sonic 06 Sucked. Yeah, that part is obvious. The music in that game was extraordinary. That was obvious too. But the one level i loved in Sonic 06 that made me go back was Crisis City. That level was fun and fast paced as I would usually expect my Sonic games to be. The music in the level was already extremely catchy and enjoyable. But when i first heard both remixes in this game, words could not describe my elation. The violin in this song is compelling to say the least. Such a good remix.
