I love the shots of Mary-Beth singing along as if to encourage him through every note... and the way the crowd cheered at the end showed that this was more than just an award show at that point but an example of the Christian community bonding together to show support for one of their own during his time of tragedy. What a wonderful display of God's love <3
Can never listen to this song without tearing up. Its so beautiful. Can't imagine what the family had to go through. But they came through it by God's grace and mercy. Awesome song.
This must have been really hard for him...it hadn't even been a year since his daughter passed when he did this on the show....saw him do this song at the Harvest Crusade in Anaheim, Calif this year...fantastic song!!
Wow, it's been 2 years since his daughter went to be with the Lord. It can't be easy to sing this song. This song tells me I need to hug and love on my kids each and every day.
knowing what happened to him, and him singing this song and watching the dancers in the background made tear up!! i dont know how he did it.. what a great testimony!
If you understand the concept of the Sabbath, it was made for man rather than man made for it. The idea is to choose a day to rest, to worship God, give thanks to all He's done for you. :)
Old post, I know, but the reason the church started worshipping on Sunday is remembering the day of the week Jesus rose on...the first. Plus, if you're SDA, your pastor is breaking the Sabbath.
God Bless Steven Curtis Chapman, His wife and his family. It is so wonderful to know that he and his family have the assurance of knowing that they will see Maria Sue in heaven. Isn't that what it is all about? Praise the Lord!
newboysrok...one we spend so much time doing whatever that we miss the precious moments in life and before you know it your child is grown up...two we should be 'dancing' all the time because we dont know when it will be our time to fall asleep. The song has a powerful message, by itself.
what an amazing man. i can't ever hear this song or hear him speak withought tearing up, i can't imagine singing this in front of millions. i love SCC!!

If that's the case, why then did He give a specific weekly day?
"...The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God...." Ex 20:8-11

simply beautiful. I never liked this song until the context made the song so powerful.
