I'm a warrior, but obviously retribution for AoEing. It's like a warrior's critical block. You NEED to use it in AoE situations. Dev for single-target.

Im not bashing the Vid, but no one kites this guy anymore. Just have the Mt keep him in the place where he is at the begining of the instance and its a tank and spank. Crypt Fiends get off tanked and Scarabs get off tanked and AOEd down, easy boss if dps is doing 2k a peice.

I love Tankspot videos, but in this one he's making it sound harder than it really is.

You don't need to kite through Locust Swarm. Just tank him in the back. All DPS need to stay 35 yards away from him while Locust Swarm is active. The tank won't be able to use any abilities during Locust Swarm, so he should pre-emptively use defense cooldowns. Since no DPS should be taking damage at 35 yards, all healers can simply focus heal the MT through it

i can honestly say i have never kited him as a tank, we just take him to the entrance and tank him there and ot takes up the crypt guards and dps takes down the guard then switch back to him, ranged are all in the the center of the room as far away from him as possible, i pugged into a weak group as ot that tried it this way 3 times and failed, we did it the way i described and not a single person died. this only works if your healers are doing preemptive healing.

The kiting isn't completely necessary during Locust Swarm; at least, not on 10-man.

As the MT healer, I had no difficulties healing through it, though I did run in to some little snags afterward (probably the ticks catching up to me. :S).

I guess HoT's help the situation a bit. :P

Most of the bosses dont actually have an enrage but most do have something that will make it hard for the raid to stay alive if you take that amount of time. Such as the doom timer on lotheb or on saph the debuff ticks harder.

If your struggling, then its not your fault alone, its your other healers fault for not helping heal. Also the reason people say not to kite is usually because there tank is so geared around 8 stacks is like 20% of his heath instead of 80%.

My guild cleared him without doing that kind of thing the tank just stayed there tanking whilst everybody just cleared away and a healer was helping the tank stay alive during locust swarm and if an add came then the dps that were puting their damage on the boss would switch to the add and down him fast before going back to the boss. took us only 4 min or so.

Just a bit of a question:

Now, I'm the 10-man raid groups' only Hunter and you mentioned that it'd be better to have a speed boost such as the Hunter's Aspect of the Pack--my concern is, Pack will stun all those who are attacked with the buff active, so during the Swarm, is it really effective to have the Hunter(s) use Aspect of the Pack for the speed bonus? ...Because if the tank is hit, he'll be dazed for 4 seconds.

Place a Demonic Circle on the ground where your DPSing. When your launched into the air, port down and you won't get any fall damage.
