  • Mike has a way higher ethical/moral standing than Eddie and Alex. Too bad Eddie's ego got in the way and messed up that 'perfect reunion'.

I have no more interest in Wolfie playing bass than I have Valerie Bertinelli singing back-up vocals.

  • This is a truly great interview for us VH fanatics. Finally some cool inside information. Thanks for posting!

  • michael anthony sounds like apretty cool guy. i don't know why eddie can't just put mike in for one tour at least. i mean wolfy is great but i'm sure he would want to see his dads original band one more time around. you can't replace mikes backround vocal. can't do it.

  • being a bass player myself, i think it is very disrespectful to bring in some other bass player like you ain't really shit, but to do it with his 16 year old son , who can't possably be as good as a veteran player like mike is just a kick in the fucking balls by a real bunch of pricks in the van halen brothers.

  • Hey Mikey what about the Buenos Aires TV broadcast of the 2/11/1983 show? Want a copy? Mine is not so good but I wonder if the TV station has a good copy??

  • nicest guy youll ever meet . partied with him in cabo ........ great guy and a total class act . eddie owes him a phone call and 2 words ... " im sorry " .

  • Mikey is awesome, his vocals and basswork are underated, looking forward to his new stuff.

  • Mike is more than just a rock star, he deserves and apology.

  • just one pro shot video of a whole orginal vh concert... somewhere...?

  • Tape can degrade he better transfer that stuff to digital

  • I"m quite sure that he has got it covered!

  • ed should listen to this interview and realise what a good guy he is.i dont think he'll ever be back in the band but a friendly phone call and apology ( for treating mike like shit) and i'm sure he'd accept it.keep playin mike!!!

  • I love Van Halen..but most of them are a bunch of drama queens. I understand why Eddie wants Wolfgang instead of Michael (so Wolfgang can continue the Van Halen legacy when all others are long gone) but he forgets that most rock fans WANTS THE ORIGINAL LINE-UP. I wouldn't mind see the new line-up, but I much rather see Michael than Wolfgang.

  • You the man Mike glad your back in the studio and soon to be on the road.

  • In part 1 of the interview, the interviewer says, when Mike mentions his backing vocals on the recent tour, "Oh we'll get to that later."

    Then it's never addressed.

I'm DYING to know the deal with that.

Did they use Mike's recorded vocals, or did Wolf sing his parts?

I went to see them and I could'nt tell. Wolf sings, and it SEEMS like he was doing the parts, but I don't know. Somebody please tell me!

  • I saw VH in Cleveland on th '07-'08 reunion tour. Wolfie sang on that. There were some rough spots but no worse than when the times I saw VH with Micheal Anthony. This is no knock on Anthony 'cuz I would've prefered they do the reunion tour with him. Then maybe bring in Wolf, especially if they record a new cd.

  • I beleive Wolfy did actually sing but YES they used some samples of Mikeys voice as well triggered by probably someone off stage - maybe the same guy who handles keyboards. Geddy in Rush samples his own voice for harmonies so I don't think its a biggy. I do want Michael Anthony back in VH tho ( As much as I love Chickenfoot and as good as Wolfgang is - the kids 16 not easy to do) I wanna hear M.A. 's real voice and bass

  • This a great interview.
