well, in all honesty, my previous camera died after going on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios in Hollywood. I just didn't want to take a chance, it was cold out, but the camera was warm, and the snow was melting on it, so out came the umbrella, next time I'll do a better job of hiding it. :)

All this snow stuff nearly put the kibosh on the big merger with the ATSF in 1995. I worked until 2008 and the worthless ATSF management still freaked out when winter came to the BN north...Priceless!
@freckldnred hhmmm i wonder if that coulda happened to my video camera. i beat the thing. not literally deliberatly beating it. but my camera was in snow, rain, dirty backpacks, below 0 degree windchill, getting knocked around in backpacks, many hours of recording time, on an RC car, under a train, and on my quad. it finally decided to quit on me. im going to take it somewhere to see if it could be fixed because i cant turn it on without fiddling with it even when its pluged into the wall. lol
I love recording trains in snow or a snow storm! Nice catch!!

5 big engines to pull just 23 cars! There must be one hell of a grade on that line somewhere.
