This is pretty damn awesome, but I do have to ask... how do you plan on running games that use other controllers with that box? SNES will require six buttons; so will Sega Genesis. Playstation will need eight.
If you can figure that out, though, this would be something I'd love to have.
The box was build to look like a NES, which is why it only has the original 2 NES controller ports on the frontside.
Although it has a few USB ports on the backside, where you can plugin USB-joypads or Adapters and use the controllers you want, when emulating other systems! :)
Can I ask what kind of drive you are using. Is it hard drive, or solid state? I'm looking at doing this with a CHEAP mobo, Solid state drive, and a shuttle PC case. I currently use an old PC, but that's boring me. Thanks! Nice setup.
What kind of ROMS are you running, and which OS are you using? Example; I have LOADS of old NES Roms, my emulator box runs a BAREBONES XP install, my emulator is VirtualNES. For this situation - the ROMs SHOULD have a .nes extension. This varies from console to console, but GOOD generic advice is to get your ROMs from a good source. Most ROMs are packaged in zip files, so you MUST extract the rom before you can play it.
