A rule of thumb is that if you didn't actually see it happen then it probably didn't happen. Therefore Scott probably isn't dead. Xavier is alive, or at least a clone with his consciousness in it. Magneto still has his powers but he is very weak. Jean is dead. Rogue lost her powers. That pretty much sums everything up.

@Faargoottt Well, Cyclops didnt die simply because his body remain missing. Who knows that the Phoenix didnt actually kill him but transported Scott somewhere else. Old or not, Xmen movie had good special effects but not much of a storyline and weak potrayal of each individual characters.

@karly1113 yes scott is dead, but rogue didnt lose her powers. at the end scene with magneto in the park, and he trys moving the chess piece, you see it move abit. that means that the cure in X3 was not permanent only temporary, because lets think about it. the cure was from a mutant child, and they derived a vaccine from it with the mutagens in it. then when being in injected with it, your own mutagens(in that universe) would fight it off and reject it.

I have been an Xmen fan since childhood. Scoot and Jean Gray are not dead... If you recall from the comic books the mutant named Sinister wants them to breed a race of super mutants. Scott did not die... Professior X is on Muir Island... watch teh move until after the trailer and you see him alive in a hospital on the island. (this is at the end of the one where it appears that he dies by the hand of Gene Gray)
