@yaoi2lover studies have actually shown that a baby can be source of comfort to a rape victim. The problem even with a rape victim aborting is that now they have to deal with two traumas: having been raped and having an abortion. You can't ignore the fact that even though the baby is a result of some disgusting man's crime it is still part of the mother and as such will leave a huge emotional scar (often for life) to the one who chooses to have it killed.

@cadrolls Abortion doctors don't perform abortions because they like terminating human life. They do it because they realize it's a job that needs to be done, and they're the ones willing to step up to the plate. Most of them are compassionate and rational people. @IMthere4you1 Most abortion doctors don't perform late-term abortions. The ones that do often have a good reason for doing so. A woman can find out late in her pregnancy that the fetus has a fetal anomaly and cannot live outside the womb or can only live outside the womb a short time in great pain. I don't like the stories of women getting a late-term abortion for "depression" because she wanted to go to the prom any more than you do, but realize there are valid reasons for this procedure.

Here's the problem, YOU view it as this precious life, the woman may see it as the destruction of her dreams, the end of her education, a reminder of an abusive relationship, or any number of other serious problems. Who decides?
You were right, we have very little slavery now...and that includes the slavery of forcing women to be breed stock against their will. We share a concern for babies, what's best for them starts with a family wanting to be and ready to be parent or parents.

@yaoi2lover studies have actually shown that a baby can be source of comfort to a rape victim. The problem even with a rape victim aborting is that now they have to deal with two traumas: having been raped and having an abortion. You can't ignore the fact that even though the baby is a result of some disgusting man's crime it is still part of the mother and as such will leave a huge emotional scar (often for life) to the one who chooses to have it killed.

@cadrolls Preventative means fail, and some people aren't responsible enough to use them. Why would you deny the irresponsible people the one resource they might actually utilize to take responsibility? Saying "I'm not ready to have a child" and having an abortion is responsible. @cadrolls Abortion doctors don't perform abortions because they like terminating human life. They do it because they realize it's a job that needs to be done, and they're the ones willing to step up to the plate. Most of them are compassionate and rational people. @IMthere4you1 Most abortion doctors don't perform late-term abortions. The ones that do often have a good reason for doing so. A woman can find out late in her pregnancy that the fetus has a fetal anomaly and cannot live outside the womb or can only live outside the womb a short time in great pain. I don't like the stories of women getting a late-term abortion for "depression" because she wanted to go to the prom any more than you do, but realize there are valid reasons for this procedure.

@IMthere4you1 These are NEVER about someone just waiting, this procedure is ONLY used when the fetus is non-viable. NOT because someone wants to go to the prom. It is, in fact, an EXTREMELY compassionate act.
This is about women who WANTED a child, were looking forward to being a mother, suddenly learning that their dreams have been destroyed, their fetus isn't going to live. At THAT point, forcing a woman into major surgery SOLELY because the safer procedure seems "icky" to people is butchery.

@cadrolls About your argument, that it's still a human life: A human life deserves it's rights for life and to be protected because if it's a human life in the mental and philosophical way aka: It's not the body and the fact that you are biologically human that matters, it's what in your brain, that matters. And unborn/newborn are just not human in that way. They're only human in the biological way.

You better explain yourself instead of making farfetched assumptions about the laws that you claim to be 100% sure.
