  • THIS BETTER NOT SUCK.

  • GREAT FILM,indeed. :)

  • Maybe if I read the book I would be more taken by this forthcoming film, but trying to figure out the premise based on this trailer alone I think it looks a bit weak and mildly pretentious

  • I wanted so bad to grow up and make this book into a movie. They beat me to it, but it looks like they did an incredible job and I'll be first in line to buy a ticket.

This book is nothing short of spectacular and moving. Everyone, please read it first, it's totally completely worth it.

Can't wait to see this movie win some Oscars! :)

  • @ohhicaroline your a shit cunt

  • gay.

  • This book changed my life, same way the person that gave it to me did...

I really really really hope they 'll also focus on his grandfather's and grandmother's stories. It'd be worth it.

And you if haven't done yet, PLEASE READ THE BOOK!

  • @threadbounded Oh wow, I feel so stupid. You're totally right, his father does own the family jewelry business! I have no idea how he became a firefighter in my head. I apologize!

  • @threadbounded I just checked and you're right! I have no idea why I thought he was a firefighter. I apologize!

  • Reminds me of "Pay it Forward", minus the pretentious Oscar bait.

  • WHY TOM HANKS ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE??!

  • I See Oscar Nominations in the Future.... :)

  • @andrewdisney1 WELL SAID. YES,INDEED. :)

  • @andrewdisney1 you have right...

  • @alexnozomu I was SOOOO excited when Jennifer said "and...Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Scott Rudin, Producer." SOOO Deserved! As Well As Max von Sydow's performance. I wish Sandra could have snuck in somehow.

  • U2 ruined this trailer

  • I'm excited!!!!

Sandra Bullock actually acting? I'll watch this definitely. :) Love her.

  • can we just stop it with the whole boo hoo poor America stuff ? How about the tens of thousands of people the American empire kills daily ? how about Palestine ? how about what it did to other countries in the 20th century ? How about a movie about trying to conquer in one way or another every country in its proximity - Canada,Mexico... Yes what happened was a tragedy, and shouldn't have happened but there are things as horrible happening everyday due to americans

  • @yellowwasp09 Oh wow, mr. Know it All appears on the scene. Look, the book isn't the best book ever, the movie is probably not going to be the best movie ever but the fact that it plays in America does not mean it glorifies the United States. It's a story about loss and despair, something that could play to any backdrop. In this case that is the aftermath of 9/11.

The whole world is built on foundations on blood, not every piece of entertainment ever has to acknowledge every blood drop spilled.

  • @yellowwasp09 If you did, in fact, read this book, which it sounds like you DID NOT, then you'd know that this book tells two stories. One of the stories is based on "the American empire" fire-bombing the city of Dresden. So before you start complaining about how books or movies always play the "boo hoo America" part you should go back and re-read this book to obtain a better understanding of what it's truly about. It seems to me that you probably only looked at the pictures that the book had.

  • porn

  • @XleeroyjenkinsX You Spoiled it for everyone now man :P,you read the script leak or just guessed i wonder tho ?

  • @n1hmrd It's based on a book, actually.

  • @HipsterKitteh ah didn't know it was a book 2 film thing again ,thanks for the heads-up hipsterKitteh ;)

  • @Croxyndul made 14 new accounts just to dislike this video...

  • @stodwinkle yeah I didn't dislike the video winklepuff.

  • Wow I read the book and it was pretty good, I hope the movie will be too

  • Incredibly Awesome

  • Very good parenting... Letting your child go about NYC without any supervision.

  • That key opens his dads box of porn... just sayin'

  • Wtf? This movie involves 9/11. Why aren't there any unnecessary arguments in the comments section yet?

  • @uberasianproductions You didn't read enough. There already were.

  • this is what happens to really smart kids, they dig too deep.

  • Hmm...interesting...

  • @raduandreyi hey why are you describing me?

  • @PostsVids lol

  • @raduandreyi dude, shut up, Thomas is my friend and classmate at PHS, hes really nice and he doesnt need any of your crap

  • @raduandreyi dude, shut up, Thomas is my friend and classmate at PHS, hes really nice and he doesnt need any of your crap

  • I loved the book. I hope this will be good too.

  • I can't believe they're making a movie off of sept11.

  • @Croxyndul You are dumb as fuckkkkkkkkk. They've made several movies off of it already. You've got to be joking.

  • @maxdude55 watch it bitch, they're dumb. making money off of a tragedy like that is just appalling.

  • @Croxyndul So films like Schindler's List, The Great Dictator, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Everything is Illuminated, and Jakob the Liar are all equally appalling? Strange, most people find them moving and inspiring.

  • @Chad48309 any film adaptation of a real incident in which many people died is appalling. I'm sure they wouldn't want their death to be monetized in any way.

  • @Chad48309 Because they made for it!

  • @Chad48309 Aside from the Great Dictator and to some extent Schindler's list those movies are all appalling

  • @Croxyndul Are you completely blind to the world that we live? Look at every significant human tragedy in history as we know it. Now watch the movie made about it. Point proven.

  • @maxdude55 my statement still stands. if people don't realize how completely ignorant that is then oh well.

  • @Croxyndul Right, because your opinion invalidates the 158 likes this video has (so far). Think what you want, but the vast majority of us are mature enough to understand that the 9/11 attacks don't need to be ignored to be remembered. In fact, that doesn't even make any sense. What do you think never mentioning them would accomplish, anyway?

  • @HipsterKitteh who's saying anything about ignoring it, what's wrong with you. you think the people making movies about those tragedy give a shit about it. they only care about the money they'll make out of it.

  • @Croxyndul Yeah, isn't it funny how they're using the story of the book that the movie is based on in order to make money? Shame on them for sticking true to Jonathan Safran Foer's original novel.

  • @HipsterKitteh it's a damn damn shame. I'm sure that's the reply you wanted to see.

  • song?

  • @maumbz the song is "where the streets have no name" by U2
