Youtube doesn't allow website links to be posted in the comments, but do a search on google for "enlightened equipment", which is his company name, and you will find it.
Waterproof (cuben fiber) material was used to give the quilt an integrated vapor barrier. Any clamminess or moisture must be vented just as one would do when using a vapor barrier except it is a little easier as you just need to open up the quilt as opposed to venting a pair of VB pants/shirt. On my last 5 day trip, there was some moisture build up in the footbox, but Tim has since redesigned the footbox with a zipper to simplify venting - it has solved the issue.
Go to 7:14 to see my disclaimer on the durability of the quilt. For me, it will last as long as any other quilt or sleeping bag, but this will very much be a function of how it is treated. If you are rough on gear or inexperienced with UL materials, this probably isn't the best product for you.
Thanks epicstove. Everyone needs one of these quilts :) Tim has made several of them at this point. Every one he makes is custom so you'll have to contact him to get it made.
Epicstove--if you make any progress making something like this, I'd like to pick your brain. I could do this with a little guidance. Thanks, Jonathan in St. Paul
