I hate it to be honest. Steve Vai does not fit on this stage with an orchestra behind him. He's trying to be too flashy and isn't even really playing in sync with the orchestra behind him. I appreciate his talent and I'm not tearing that down, I just don't FEEL his part in this live performance. It just sounds like someone trying to show off.

but the Barrett M107 is a great rifle... It has its application, and certainly out-shoots almost all other rifles currently used by the government at extreme distances. But again, it has its application..

tl;dr: the COD reference doesn't quite work because the M107 is actually an excellent weapon system.
