Google "Mercedes SLC" and say that again. This is a camouflage and it definitly fooled you two ^^ It won't look anything like the Dodge. It'll have the new mercedes face (LED Stuff, one- or two-bladed grill, edgier frontlamps) and maybe even the backlights (B-Class, E-Class, ...)

top speed and accel. are not the only at a car, like evo that is faster than lamborghini gallardo at a lap race but at drag lambo is better...so slr maybe is better at a lap race than veyron(only drag race videos for veyron)also veyron has 4 turbochargers and mclaren f1 that is 20km/h slower hasnt got any turbocharger(better engine) all companies can put as many turbochargers as they can ...few are those who can make strong engines without turbos...!

To all the people saying this looks like a viper. This is a Viper body. They are using a viper style body to cloak what it will actually look like. This is for the purposes of tuning the suspension without giving its style away.
I have had several Mercedes in my life, this is simply not interesting to me. If I want a truly fast car, I'll purchase a Bugatti Veyron. MB has been questionable regarding reliability as of late too...other choices exist that are better.
The original Gullwing was a novel idea, with a lot of problems. As of late, the quality of the MB brand has diminished against many other high end products. I think reviving the Gullwing is not going to make it a standout car. Check out Bugatti Veyron vs Mclaren SLR then you decide...MB gets blown away...
every car gets blown awat by the veyron. What does that mean? Look at the videos of carerra GT vs the SLR. The SLR weighs 400kg more has exactly the same hp but is just as quick around a track and infinitely more comfortable. Does that mean the carerra GT is shit? you do realise the bugatti cost over 3 times the price of the SLR dont you? of course it should be faster.
And mercedes reliability is back as good as it ever was now.
I am aware of the cost of the Bugatti, I simply think the SLR was an exercise is futility by MB, as is this new iteration of the Gullwing. If you like it, buy it when it comes out and enjoy. Then find a Veyron and race it against it and you will have the same result as the SLR...remember the one driving the Veyron will be looking at the MB in his rearview mirror...Peace
Whoever said the Veyron is the fastest is wrong... Check out the SSC Ultimate Aero. Only has a V8 compared to the Veyron's 16 Cylinders and still beats its by roughly 3 or 4 miles per hour.
Oh yea, and cut the veyron's price in more than half for the SSC.
@Sykolprchaun well the Veyron is the fastest again now. The Supersport did 431kmh/268mph so it is actually the fastest by a very big margin now. I dont really rate the SSC that much. Its fast but that's about it. The Veyron is like a rolls royce as a GT car and yet it can be driven by anyone to top speed. I wouldn't like to bring an SSC to top speed. It would be very scary i think.

My father work in company which does business with Mercedes trucks and they organize events where they bring AMGs and Mercedes supercars and let anyone drive them. I can't wait to drive this car. And Veyron? Doubt I'll ever see it.
Besides, being faster doesn't make it more fun to drive.
Anyone could buy any car provided they have the money to pay for it. You could have called VW a year ago and said I have $2 million I want a Veyron and they would have made it for you, numbers get changed all the time. The only reason they generally say there will only be 500 made is because it creates demand for it. I think though they really have stopped production of the Veyron for now and are R&D a new Bugatti.

it will look like that, the lights will be different but the body has to be the same because they need to test dynamics silly, the shape and flow. Its like putting a ferrari engine in a land rover with spy photos say new ferrari.
