I've been dealing with my own local construction since last spring. I live ten meters away from a large multi-dwelling site, and the first weeks were the worse, with the blasting and incessant drilling though the bedrock. And when the first buildings were finally up some smart ass had the brilliant idea of setting the whole thing on fire, causing millions in damages and risking the death of countless seniors in a residence next door. Ugh.

Bummer about the noise. Reminds me of when the concrete balconies at my building were getting refreshed. It lasted 3 months, all day, very loud. I sure hope that nonsense stops soon. The old lady died a year ago, by time it went through probate and everything the landlord only recently took possession of her flat which is located above us... she died of old age in the hospital... we will miss her cuz she was bedridden and we never heard a peep out of her...
