I met Jack for the second time at a rally in Saint John during the federal election. I felt so honoured to meet the the leader of my party and all the inspiration he brought. Second highlight of that rally was Rick Mercer who was as cheeky as ever.

I liked Jack Layton since the moment that I first say him at the 2004 elections on TV. I was only 8 but I knew he was a good guy and I still do. Rest in peace Jack.

I voted for his party on the last election because I thought he and his party had a good platform but it's also great to realize he was a really nice guy with a great sense of humor.

I think I'm going to miss him more now that I realized he was so good at heart.

Such a friendly, easy going guy. I love how Rick is able to get politicians to relax around him, get them to laugh and simply be themselves. It has always helped remind me that these men and women are people first before they're politicians. And Jack was a great guy. He'll be missed.
