Thoes r2 graphics clips are from trailer or some dialog video. Gears 2 clips are from gameplay. It's kinda big difference.

Yes I have played Resistance 2, I prefer Gears of war 2 out of personal preference. Its cool if you like R2 best, but I just don't see how R2 betters even Halo 3 never mind Gears 2, I compare R2 to Halo more because they are both FPS, but in terms of storyline it relates to gears more.

Personally, I don't really care about storyline when it comes to shooters. However, what bothers me the most with gears is the fact that its nothing but a shotgun fuckfest. R2 takes more skill, teamwork and offers more variety of different weapons for different situations. Gameplay in R2 destroys gears any day.

One thig i think you should have added- when you said that resistance 2 has 300 ft. tall monsters, gears 2 has some massive monsters also. Look at the massive worm thing, or the lake monster. egan108 the Xbox360 is so much better than the PS3. One reason is that when you are downloading a Demo you cannot do ANYTHING else but watch the demo download, now on Xbox360 you can play games demos, but not online which is reasonable, and also the PS3 installs after the download which takes like 2 years. the second reason is that you cannot listen to music while playing a game which i find really stupid because music is like half my life. I have a PS3 so i would know what I am talking about

you got the co-op wrong for gears of war 2 it has online four player co-op for campaign or 2 player split-screen but gears of war has been know to have an amazingly good experance for co-op gamplay so i think they should have been a draw on the co-op side of it plus the new bosses that iv seen in gears 2 can actually rival resistance 2s 300ft boss

Honestly, why does everyone think that Resistance 2 is all about jumping and shooting? The game is run and gun, yes, but there is a lot of cover and teamwork involved in it as well. I've played Halo matches, and there's little teamwork involved and it's all jumping and clubbing. In Resistance 2 aim is key, and you have to find the weapon that's right for you. In Halo 3 I didn't see any reason why ANYONE would use a weapon other than the Assault Rifle.

Oh cmon its so blatantly obvious according to sales, reviews, graphics, gameplay, guns, enemies, storyline, charachters EVERYTHING gears does better. Sorry but R2 is just another shooter in my eyes, insomniac cannot compare to epic, the games designers have the right name for the right game, Epic. R2 has bigger but worse online, and less maps, at least gears 2 isnt boring on a bigger scale like R2. Even halo 3 beats R2 to me.

Yes I have played Resistance 2, I prefer Gears of war 2 out of personal preference. Its cool if you like R2 best, but I just don't see how R2 betters even Halo 3 never mind Gears 2, I compare R2 to Halo more because they are both FPS, but in terms of storyline it relates to gears more.

I own both consoles, and i love them both but the ps3 is my favourite because of its fantastic exclusives like resistence 2 (just got it today...it's fucking awesome!) Gears of war is great but that's probably the only good game out there for the xbox 360(except for fable 2)

Personally, I don't really care about storyline when it comes to shooters. However, what bothers me the most with gears is the fact that its nothing but a shotgun fuckfest. R2 takes more skill, teamwork and offers more variety of different weapons for different situations. Gameplay in R2 destroys gears any day.

This is obviously not a reliable video, you mention only what you saw in trailers.
And i RAGED at you mentioning the gears 2 tech demo, everything you mentioned wasn't fully explopited in the full game, make sure you know what your talking about before you make videos like this. hell, even the frames per second was practicly the same in bothe games.

One thig i think you should have added- when you said that resistance 2 has 300 ft. tall monsters, gears 2 has some massive monsters also. Look at the massive worm thing, or the lake monster. Gears of War, and Resistance are two different types of games. Gears 2 is a cover and shoot, third person shooter, Res. 2 is a FPS, which is just run n gun.
I have played both games
Gears 2 has a way better story ( campaign )
Resistance is at its best online

egan108 the Xbox360 is so much better than the PS3. One reason is that when you are downloading a Demo you cannot do ANYTHING else but watch the demo download, now on Xbox360 you can play games demos, but not online which is reasonable, and also the PS3 installs after the download which takes like 2 years. the second reason is that you cannot listen to music while playing a game which i find really stupid because music is like half my life. I have a PS3 so i would know what I am talking about

you got the co-op wrong for gears of war 2 it has online four player co-op for campaign or 2 player split-screen but gears of war has been know to have an amazingly good experance for co-op gamplay so i think they should have been a draw on the co-op side of it plus the new bosses that iv seen in gears 2 can actually rival resistance 2s 300ft boss

Honestly, why does everyone think that Resistance 2 is all about jumping and shooting? The game is run and gun, yes, but there is a lot of cover and teamwork involved in it as well. I've played Halo matches, and there's little teamwork involved and it's all jumping and clubbing. In Resistance 2 aim is key, and you have to find the weapon that's right for you. In Halo 3 I didn't see any reason why ANYONE would use a weapon other than the Assault Rifle.

It's been proven (as far as I know) that this is the largest boss ever created in a video game. I mean it's about as tall as Chicago SKYSCRAPERS (except for the Sears tower, of course). Putting (for example) a Brumak against this thing is like you stepping on a squirrel.
Though I don't recommend stepping on squirrels.
