There was no fault in His creation until the devil put it there. Yes, God created Lucifer too, but He gave him a choice like the rest of us, and lucifer chose wrong. We still have a choice. There's no point being angry at God. God gave us all a simple way out of the pain you say is God's problem; and that is Jesus. Our fate is in our own hands.
my heart was touched when i saw this, it reminded me that God is moved when we are in pain... He is our father, the perfect Father who is desperate to embrace us in our pains....
but without God, he would not have the perseverance to pursute the race.. all what he has, his ability, his strength, his desire, it all comes from God...
this is a very touching story, but is ruined at the end by saying GOD helped him finish. This diminishes the enormous resolve, determination and strength of character that this athlete showed, implying that without GOD, he would not have finished.
it was not GOD. it was the lifetime of training and hard work, putting his body and his mind through hell and pushing past the limits that the rest of us cannot begin to contemplate even reaching.
The prosperous abundant power of Spirit lives within us all--those 'footprints in the sand'; yours is great Derek, and your Dad's, too and we celebrate the collective energy of forgiveness and encourage connection at the personal level and beyond.
Um, it was his father, not God that helped him. It's like when people account God for somebody making it alive through a disease, and they completely disregard the surgeons and doctors who REALLY did it. It's each other that helps you get through things. God does not help people. If you don't believe this, go here: thethinkingatheist(dot)com(slash)bible_atrocities.html
if God haven't blessed the surgeon, with wisdom and ability, then they wouldn't had able to cure any disease.... it all comes from God dude, even the what we think is the very normal air that we breathe, it comes from God, ... and He is able to take that away from us bcoz of our sins, but bcoz of His love for us he didn't , just to give us tym and opportunity to reconcile with Him.. Jesus loves us dude...
The illustration was showing the impossibility of the concept. You can't force love.
People confuse the teachings of Christ with the way the Universe is. To deny science is to be so immensely outdated and ignorant, I won't even question that faith, because it's as ridiculous as getting on a plane with a broken wing and thinking it'll fly.
@Terefall There is no impossibility in the concept. God says "Love me," those that do go to heaven. For those that don't, God has no choice but to let them go to hell, because there can be no sin with Him. God did help the people in the Bible; from the winning of Gideon's battle with only 300 people to fight against such a massive army, to the healing of so many sick, dying and dead in the times of Jesus on the earth. God won't affect the sin and disease of Man because noone loves God anymore.
@Terefall . i which god u believe? ru a man or women? what u know abt christinity? he gave his loife for our sins and for that we are safe and secure dont forget that?there is only one god that is jesus christ the real man in this world who came to sacrifice his life and he did that...which of your god did that in real life? U ppl simply believe in stones... and dont know that in some day that stones are coming to the jesus christ feet read in bible..not in any nonsense website...
my goodness, enormously powerfully touching story moving me to tears.
this changes my perspective with my own son. i have frowned and been mad when he has trouble in sports. after seeing this video of Redmond, I'm moved to change; when has trouble, I will embrace my son with gentle arms and lift him up with soft words. That is what a son needs from a father.
Also, this video inspires me to never give up in spite of pain because God comes down to walk with me to help me finish my race.

And yes, the video was horribly sad. It's one of the many beautiful things in life.

@ajphantom
Doesn't sound like giving to me.
Christianity:
-Love Me
-Go to Hell
You pick.
Christianity is an outdated religion, none of which is true. It causes conflict and it's nonsense.
Once again, God does NOT help people. He didn't in the stories of the Bible, either.
