Actually I really don't like fish eyes much at all. Most people throw a fish eye on and just get super close and make it so you have no idea how big the obstacle is at all. The industries skate videos are the worst for this. I prefer shots where you can see everything in a whole. At least for random videos like this.

Art is what you make it. You'd be surprised how annoying it is to just "Jam a fish eye at a skater". It's not like that. There's no jamming. Long lens and fisheye, neither is artistic. There both just opportunity. The only one artistic is the person holding the camera. learning how to make things look good, and doing it goes for both long lens and fisheye. You don't even know what your talking about. Filming isn't just pointing the camera, as you so put it. Filming is tough. Get over yourself.
