Hard ass Aerocoupe mane. I gotta 87, too lookin like a protouring car. The Aerocoupes were hardest G-bodies ever. They even look faster than the others.i guess thats why they were the most successful in NASCAR and also worth more. GM shouldve made an Aerocoupe GNX.

the aero coupes and the 2+2 Grand Prix's werent' very good looking. But the G bodies were the last of the old school muscle cars. Thats a nice sounding car, you got there, buddy. Makes me mis my 86 SS

@NaterBoxs Have you ever seen an all black aerocoupe, with the stripes and decals removed, and a nice dark tint on the windows, thats what what mine looks like, its an extremely clean looking car. The black with stripes don't look very good to me however, thats why I changed it, and went for a more GNX look.

no you could get a 5 speed in the aero coupe (which that is) and there were like 300 SS monte carlo's with a 5 speed

Question? how do you get away with emission tests,I can never get my 87ss to pass with just a 350HO. I guess your in a non emission county or city. by the way very nice looking & sounding Monte.......

Your lucky,In arizona if you don't pass emissions you can,t register your car and get tags. and if you register your car in a non emission county, they give you a different color lic tag so the cops know and pull you over and give you a nice fat $fine for driving in a emission required city where I live. been there. It suck here.

It's a 350 HO crate engine, Edelbrock Performer Manifold, Rochester Quadrajet.

HEI distributor, and stock Exhaust System.

no computer, I will possibly have to rejet the carb to lean it down to pass, because I pass everything but carbon monoxide, 91.30

yea, your right, make sure your carb isnt dumping too much fuel and if you havent done so yet change your plugs, wires and coil. if your timing is off then that will make emissions bad. check your plugs to help you tune, theres a bunch of stuff on the internet about plug reading, and last your catlytic converter might be bad and not doing its job. good luck

Thanks cdtarthur07, that's what i'm thinking it's just running to fat, everythings new, cat & air pump, fresh plugs and wires, new Distributor with cap & rotor also all emission controls. the last thing to do At worse case after reworking the carb is change out the lope cam and install more of a stock lift & Duration cam but I don't really want to do that. hoping just jetting it down a lot will do the trick. i have a 350H.O. in my monte and to pass emissions i retard the timing a lil, and run the fuel down to nearly nothing in the tank,,and dump 5 gallons of methanol in,,it burns 100 times cleaner than gas, and i pass no problems

it has aluminum heads, 2.02/1.6 flow 260 cfm, 245/254 at .050, .558/558 lift on a 1.5 rocker, hyd roller, forged bottom end with hyperutectics, rpm air gap, 800 double pumper, with msd ignigtion, 9.6:1 compression, my only complaint is the low compression and the big carb make it kinda sluggish down low
