Unfortunately decent sound and small size do not really go together. Small speaker enclosures have a poor response at low frequency, so the Pure One mini might be as good as it gets.

Try a few out in the shops, the Sony XDRS55 is a bit smaller.

do DAB radios always take that long to change from one DAB station to another?

That was an internet radio station. It only takes a second for DAB stations.

No problem.

It's a really good radio and the OLED display looks really slick. I can't really fault it, other than it could come complete with the battery and remote, but they are relatively reasonably priced anyway.

I'm actually planning on buying a digital radio... I saw a pure ONE (the one that takes 6 C-size batteries) in the shop but it's way too large for my taste! The pure ONE mini is slightly better but then I'd have to spend more to get pure's chargePAK so that I can use it as a portable radio... do you know of any smallish DAB radios with a speaker that gives decent sound and that can run on standard batteries like AA or C size? You seem to know your DAB radios! :-)

I like Rapture Radio and Passion Rasio sussex the most.

Don'T listen to Kiss that much now.
