ok. is it my imagination, or am I just the only amateur ghost hunter. in this clip at 20 seconds through 33. in the background at the exit. the door is closed at 00:19, and a shadow is seen in a picture on the wall of a head coming in and out. the door opens suddenly but there is no one there. Sorry but blame it on my fascination with the paranormal and I am always looking for this stuff even in regular vids.
I was actually on this tour with Thomas. I must say that the tour is really one of kind and if you ever get a chance you should go on it. There is just so much on it that you don't expect.
Secondly, Thomas did a great job. Not just on this video but on the tour as well. I'm very glad that he was there to help everything run smoothly, and with a group of 20 people that's very important.
Well, seeing as how the Balmoral Hotel has renamed the room she finished writing the series in "The J.K. Rowling Suite," people are flocking from all over the world to come and stay in it, and they're paying a small fortune to do so - around $2,000 in fact. As a journalist, I'm interested in the details. The fact is this - these people either ARE staying in the place where the series was finished, or they are NOT. That is the difference. And it's a pretty big one when you really think about it.
Wow! That was a really awesome video! I totally want to go to those places now! Thomas, you rock!
JW, i'm a little confused about the Balmoral thing though. Which room was she actually in? I thought it was the 600s not 500s. But then why would the hotel mark 553 the JKR suite?
I tried really hard to get a difinitive answer. I spoke with the manager of the hotel, and he said that regardless of what I see on the bust itself, the room she really wrote in was room 552. It doesn't explain anything in my eyes. The next step as far as clarification is to ask JKR herself, which, unfortunately, I'm not able to do. The manager implied she either made a mistake when she wrote on the bust, or the writing was smudged. In short, no end-all answer.
I think this is a very good example of Americans respecting and honoring Britian in all of its natural and architectural beauty. Mugglenet obviously is a great site not only for HP news, info, links etc, it is a great example of American honor and perceptiveness. As a British citizen (I have dual citizenship with Canada, which is on my profile) I applaud Mugglenet and Thomas Pardee on his pleasant and insightful tour of HP sites around Britain!
I dnt think any place in the wrld is boring, each and evry place has its own magic.Anyway, its awesum, totally corky to b abl to catch a glimpse of the Potter world again.Thank you Mugglenet!!
Europe has always been interesting to me, and I would love to travel there to see the various natural and historic landmarks. Different regions have different types of beauty, all unique. That's why my dream is to travel the world. Great job on the documentary video.
Wow that was amazing <3 I seriously cannot WAIT for Half-Blood Prince!
I was awed by this video and it's locations, just so beautiful...and it just so happens that my Scottish ancestors were from THAT EXACT location in Scotland, or close, I can't remember right, lol XD
Heh, I saw the viaduct when I was there, it was great. I also checked out the hotel, in fact it was visible from the book store where I stood in line for Deathly Hallows.
i wish he would call it Philosphers stone thats the proper right name

that's odd
did she pick room 552?
it seems like she did
since 5+2=7 and 7+5=12
or maybe it's coincidence?
rockstar244146 3 years ago
could you explain this comment? I might be a bit lost in the meaning?
yogertlvr 3 years ago
7 and 12 are the most significant numbers in harry potter.
and the room number is 552...so yeah
but maybe i'm just weird or looking into it too much.

ummm...every been to europe to make that opinion based on reatlity....or is that just an assumption?
Jedigirl1983 3 years ago
from experince of course, the history bores me as well, only about war, bloodshed, wealth, and power.

Which is exactly how America will be remembered when it's power eventually wanes. That is the way of the world.
