  • I am sorry but nobody but the nuffies say aboot and every time I hear an American accent I have to laugh my ass off thinking what retards

  • Zed huh? Aboot that.....he must be canadian.

  • Must have been a Q episode.

  • @ssjover9000Brolunks Most likely, it was Stewart and the crew having some fun. It certainly is not from any episode. Hint, there's no background sound at all.

  • Love it. =)

  • Nonono it's like this: My opinion > Your opinion.

  • Q?!?

  • I love how at the end of it, he was trying so hard not to laugh

  • Could Kirk do that. DON'T THINK SO.

  • @LeaderofPenguins Maybe not, but could Picard act like a horse with a midget on his back?

  • wow, i cant stop laughing, this is crazy funny, and he cept a straight face to

  • so much win right thurr.

  • Where is this from?????????

  • @Terminator6385 I believe he sang it for Gene Roddenberry.

  • That's like lost Star Trek pr0n right?

  • Q?!!

  • What is this??? Where's it from?

  • When I first saw this I was disappointed because I couldn't imagine the character of Jean Luc to do this, sing and stuff..BUT..,I do like the episode when captain Jean Luc was replaced by a copy and sung in Ten Forward..:)..and aspecialy the looks on Geordi and Worf when he made them sing along with him..:)

  • wtf

  • q...Q!!!

  • Did he just do this off-the-cuff? If so, he went from awesome to astronomically awesome.

  • @KatyHallow It was a birthday present for Gene Roddenberry.

  • @MeiyoYuill Haha, that is still awesome. I'd love a birthday present like that. =)

  • 2 things that bother me

    1) There is no music to this. I feel like there should be music

    2) He is singing by himself

  • Why have I never seen this?!

  • Jean-Luc Picard channeling Maurice Chevalier?! Now I've seen everything!!

  • What the hell. WHY HAVE I ONLY JUST FOUND THIS?

  • I love how he JUST manages to keep a straight face at the end.

  • @Andreus same?

  • "W X Y and ZED" I love it.

  • This isn't from any episode. This was actually a tribute filmed just for Gene Roddenberry that somehow made it to the interweb.

  • What.

    This is fabulous.

  • What.

    This is fabulous.

  • What Episode is this?

  • Interesting that the last word of the lyric would have been me, which would have rhymed with "zee," instead of "zed." I'm inclined to think that it was supposed to be "zee," but Patrick's Britishness just overrode that.

  • WTF?

  • He's defiantly not gay or anything....

  • "Q?!"

  • Schools should replace the conventional alphabet song with this.

  • @WarpSpider- Epic indeed ¦}

  • It's so funny, he didn't know it even exist. On the Captains Table on saturday he said, it was a vid just for Gene's birthday and not for the audience...

  • Completely fabulous. Someone needs to dub a fabulous orchestra-with-horn-section backing track over that. C'mon, internets, get to it.

  • For some reason in the related videos shown after the video ends, there is one called "Hippo butt explosion".

  • At 0:05, when he looks into the camera, you know.

    SHIT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN.

  • Here because of Nerdist

  • lol i feel sorry for all the cameramen they must be cracking up something awful

  • On the Captains table today he said, this was just for a birthday for Gene Roddenberry. He actually was surprised that someone knew it... He didn't know, that this is on a dvd too

  • Tha fuck??? this is unlike the picard i know

  • According to Patrick (as heard in the Nerdist podcast interview) this was a birthday gift to Gene. Patrick's wife did some choreography & it seems to have been done quickly. Don't think it was ever meant to become public.

  • @Roblynmaz Well, that idea's out the window now! XD

  • is this actually in an episode?!

  • Here because of Nerdist.

  • The performer in me: You can tell how much of a skilled actor and performer he is because of how precise and appropriate the movements are in time to the music, and he is also a closet comedian, because this is quite charming and funny, and the audience is reacting very positively to this wonderful rendition of this song.

The music major in me: DEAR GOD MY EARS QUIT TRANSPOSING YOU'RE FLAT NOW YOU'RE SHARP WHERE ARE YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA---

  • the luckiest red shirt EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BlueMoon50597 Lucky!

  • Simply epic.

  • Where's the music? It would be even funnier with music, but it's still as hilarious as hell.

  • Where's the music?

  • Q! :D

  • @sdflksdfkfh Does it hurt be so dumb like you?

  • Is it just more, or did it look like Patrick Stewart wanted to laugh by the end of that?

  • Kirk would have sung it better

  • This is why Picard > Kirk.

  • @EdwardHyena Kirk > Picard > Janeway > Sisko > Archer > The Borg. ;)

  • @JackWProductions no, Picard beats all.

  • @EdwardHyena No, this is why Patrick Stewart > William Shatner! ;-)

  • Zed not Zee. Canada FTW

  • @JuggernautJoey cough.. English.

  • Picard wins

  • I have suddenly turned gay for Patrick Stewart.

  • @DCGMINC if i were a guy i would say the same

  • Wow

  • =| my face throughout the entire video

  • Fantastic!

  • Im going to be so sad when This man dies

  • *slow clap*

  • ...and you can fuck my Bitch, Based God.

  • Q!

  • Sisco voted 22 times.

  • @ubcKong fuck you

  • lol can someone explain wtf just happend?

  • @MrNewmaneh From what I've heard, it was filmed as a joke aimed at Gene Roddenberry. It was included on a DVD extra and thus ended up on YouTube.

  • @allaplomb hmm thank you very much!

  • so many gifs have come just from this one clip!

  • Kirk, Sisco, and Janeway have NOTHING on Picard.

  • Well now my day is best day.

  • I find this easy to masturbate to.

  • Holy shit he can walk!

  • I saw this years ago and it still makes me giggle. I love that man.

  • is this part of an episode or is it something he just made cause he felt like it.

  • @NCC1371 he did it for gene roddenberry's birthday

  • @johnqpublic912 I was going to say that he had a lot of balls to do it but he has been in so much theater he was probably used to doing things like that anyway.

  • This is how everyone should learn the alphabet.

  • I didn't laug. I just stared. I am VERY deeply confused right now.... I need to show this to my sister.

  • @faithlessbelievers your erection?

  • @dafspeed No, how stupid and immiture you are. And you, dafspeed, have a twisted mind.

  • You can act Captain but you can't sing!

  • Mama loved this. :)

  • I wish Patrick Stewart would sing to me like that...

  • Perhaps it's just me, but when he sings the "J, K, L" parts, I hear the Caillou theme song....

  • @RealKatii Oh my gosh yes!

  • i've gotta be honest, this really really scares me

  • This is how i learned the alphabet.

  • This was a birthday song for Gene Roddenberry if I remember correctly.

  • 22 people were fired from starfleet

  • @SimonesSoulBlaster More like 22 people can't pass their entrance exam.

  • Press 6 to scare John De Lancie. X'D

  • this is how you get laid, even if you're bald

  • He's not laughing at the end because he is sad that Gene had just passed away. This was his personal tribute to a good man and leader. The expression at the end says it all.

  • @celticgibson I say that was very noble for Patrick to do that as a tribute to Gene. A real class act.

  • Is this a real song?

  • @youtert It is sang. That makes it a real song!

  • Best Star Trek captain by far

  • wat

  • Captain Jean Luc Picard.

He'll save your ass and kick the bad guys.

He'll make sweet sweet love to your women, but not the ugly ones.

He'll teach your androids the meaning of humanity, and how it feels.

He'll end your wasteful 500 year civil war and bring peace to your planet.

He'll find a more efficient irrigation system for your crops and feed the hungry.

And he'll STILL fit in time for a soft shoe and a song.

WORSHIP HIM FOR HE IS TRULY MIGHTY, AND LOOKS GOOD IN RED!

  • @theflyingmouse

    He's one lucky redshirt.

  • Haha that was wonderfully surreal.

  • What has been seen cannot be unseen.. I will never see him the same ever again D=

  • He wanted to laugh at the end XD

  • Make make make make make it so

  • Why is Captain Picard singing?

  • @ixtoothint Why not?

  • @ixtoothint he is singing a vaudeville song for Gene Roddenberry's birthday.

  • @ixtoothint= It think it was Patrick singing a tribute to Gene Roddenberry, or we're in a parallel universe where musicals are real life.

  • @vigo894 Okay. I thought Captain Piccard was crazy!

  • Look at him trying not to smile in those last few seconds there. Awesome.

  • Rougemutt: I agree

  • this frightens me a little

  • @focusandcreate Make it So

  • Watch this with the "Transcribe Audio" Captions turned on. It's hilarious.

"Mister crunch, right set cost cost operation any."

  • This makes me want to use Zed rather than Z for my alphabet.

  • @Kriegsmarine0 Zed is how its supposed to be pronounced. Saying Zee instead of Zed is like saying Seega instead of Sega.

  • @thatguyontheright1 It's almost as if different countries pronounce things differently, isn't it? But that can't be possible...

  • What the.........?

  • "Q?!"

  • Guys this was for Gene. If i remember right he was on set on his birthday and the cast made this surprise for him.

  • Helms gone! I think his song sent Wesley and the Data's relief officer to the Barge of the Dammed!

  • I hope that was for me <3

  • O_O

    wha?

  • speechless..........

  • ???

  • it takes skill to be able to be picard, then do a musical number, and back to picard,

  • And this is how Wil Wheaton became awesome.

  • OMG! Where'd the cane come from at 0:31?

  • @vidgami46 magic

  • @vidgami46 Picard is so awesome he has the ability to summon canes at will.

  • q......Q!!!!

  • Security to the bridge, NOW! The Captain appears to have overdosed on crack.

  • Camp!

  • this men is just... god.. xD

  • @JustPautrek2 I'm pretty sure he stuck the hat's landing on the console too.

  • I think my childhood just dribbled out of my ears. EPIC!!!

  • This is scary.

  • q... Q!!!

  • Lol. WTF. This definitely was not in the series. So why did he do it? Is it a “controlled by Q” scene? ^^

  • This is to hillarious where did you find this ? please awnswer back soon !

  • no hands on deck.

  • my favorite star trek captain..^_^

  • "What was that destination again, captain?" "Shut up, Wesley!"

  • *rofl* THIS IS WHY PICARD>KIRK

  • XD OhmyGod! Yes!

  • The fact he can go from Picard to song-and-dance then back to Picard SEAMLESSLY is in and of itself AMAZING.

  • omg omg omg omg this is SO awesome!!!

  • Q!..Q?

  • hahahahah! that was epic :P

  • Which episode was this? This i Awesome!

  • So according to this vid Wesley Crusher is so stupid he needs Captain Picard to recite the alphabet in order to set a course.

  • cool

  • <3 this captain! they need some must though to go with the singing.

  • From 1:14 to the end I just LOVE the straight face he makes.

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? AWESOME! XD

  • I'd imagine dying from an overdose while watching star trek would look something like this...

  • My Hero :D

  • lol. Did he do this for charity or was this actually an episode?
