@cloudethhess Yes! Shadow dragon is Fire Emblem 11, and Mystery of the emblem is Fire Emblem 12. Both are DS games, and most of the characters are the same, but fortunately some are exclusive to Fire Emblem 12

@LightningLegend12 You can only get 3 manakete's in the game I think. One is Bantu,who I keep alive till chapter 20 or something,cause he can recruit Tiki,the othe manakete. Tiki is one of the best units,and can harm Medeus,without using the Falchion. You can get Nagi if you lose the Falchion,and Tiki dies.

No it's actually FIFTEEN OR LESS. I know this for a fact because I main'd 15 I chose to do H3 all the way through. All "X" missions look to see if your character count (including Marth/Mars) is 16 or more. Fail this check by having 15 or less and you are forced to do the "gaiden" chapter.

The sidequests 6x, 12x, 17x, 20x ans 24x will alow you to obtain some of them, you can visit the website Serenes Forest to have more information!

It's Norne, an archer, you recruit her only if you have 4 (or less) characters after completing the prologue chapters (you have to kill some of your characters...)

I think Merric and Linde and both very good, Merric has more HP, skill and defense, but Linde has a very good chance and a better magic, according to Serenes Forest!

By the way you can chose Gordin or Norne, both are quite good, it depends of your preference!

@thesonicman24 Gordin has better HP, skill and defence but Norne has a very good speed so she attacks twice, and Nabarl is better than Athena because he has a better chance, and the other stats are the same for these 2 characters!

Wolf and Sedgar are great when they stay horsemen but they can be very strong generals, they have very good growth rates!

@javiersanj In this game you can't have all the characters at the end because in order to have Norne, Etzel, Athena and Ymir you have to kill some of your characters:

Norne: Only if you have 4 (or less) characters after completing the prologue chapters.

@TheCousinRumble if your a fire emblem fan, you will love it, though i warn u, it does have issue with it- no support, useless characters, nerfed classes, rigged staffs, pointless secret characters, and pointless gaiden chapters.

100% of people i know HATE this game it is NOTHING like fire emblem not even like the original it is based on. the graphics are worse than 2003 blazing sword. the choice of class change is an awful addition. but if you have never played 6,7,8 and only radiant dawn there is a chance you might like it

(characters hasn't got personality, no support conversation, fewer classes, the story is short... but on the other hand there are 6 levels of difficulty and you can play on-line and buy special items)

Fire Emblem 12 will be better, I think!

I tottaly agree with you, useless characters, short story, no support conversation and the most important MARTH DOESN'T EVOLVE/CHANGE CLASSES!!!! @TheCousinRumble Fire Emblem 12 is anounced in Japan for this july, the 15th, it will be for Ds! And it will have the same graphics as Shadow Dragon but it seems that characters will have more personnality (perhaps support conversations) and moreover we can create our own character at the beginning of the game, which is exciting! it will be a remake of Fire Emblem 3, book 2, you should go to the website called "Serenes Forest" to have more information! Sorry for my english!

@Zeldamaniac93 red hair and glasses is Etzel a sage from 17x. To get him you have to have 15 units or less in your army, and not kill him during the mission. It's easy, he won't move. The second one is Horace a general from 12x that requires you to do the same thing as Etzel.

Norne is the girl with big eyes and pinkish-reddish hair. To recruit her, complete Prologue IV with less than five units, meaning you have to kill two - your sacrifice and another person. I'd recommend killing Jagen and one of the three Cavaliers - Abel, Cain, or Frey. Gordin may look terrible, but he's amazing once you train him. Also, to do this, you have to play on Normal Mode, not Hard.

You upgrade members of your team, and you need a master seal which can be obtained in secret shops or by killing certain enemies that are carrying them. You can upgrade your units at any level, I think, though it is definitely recommended you level them up to level 20 since that is the max level without upgrades. Note that some characters, like Marth, can't be upgraded.

In Shadow Dragon, you can only promote a unit to its next class by using a Master Crown. You get your first one in Chapter 10: Princess Minerva, and it has to be a level 10 or higher in order to promote.

Some characters you can only get if you have under a certain number recruited (Such as under 15 by Chapter 6 to get Athena) And at least once you have to choose one of two villages to visit because the other will close. That makes it physically impossible to have everyone without anyone dying.

I trained him up enough and he was better than Abel: i.e. better defense, speed, strength, Luck, and skill and I found Abel to be better than Frey (I no most people would disagree) after training him aswell

I remember one of my best playthroughs. It was on H1. Just as easy as Normal mode, but no prolog. Mostly I beat that run with Doga(Gen.) and Navarre(Pally). I still lost a bunch of units so I ended up in the Gaidens(as well as getting a bunch of faceless dudes.) The enemies were ill equipped to take out a 30Def. general and a 19Def paladin.

This game was pretty good and had one of my favorite lords in it (Hector is my favorite then Ike then Marth). I was just dissapointed how they changed sertain things and how they t didn't have the bonus exp. I also didn't like how you don't get any good thieves (I've only gotten to lvl 20 so if there is a good one past lvl 20 please don't yell at me). In the earlier ones thieves/assassins/pickpockets could be really good.

IIRC, bonus experience wasn't added to FE games until PoR, so I'm guessing they're trying to stay more in line with the original game as opposed to adding things in from the later titles [which is why you get people complaining about the "lack of features", since they're comparing it to FE 7 and up].

But this is just the theory I heard. There's probably some differing opinions out there. D:

Bantu needs a Fire Stone to use his moves because he is a Manakete. You can obtain a Fire Stone from a previous chapter and then give it to him. He will be your only manakete until you unlock Tiki or Nagi. Bantu is a good unit to have, but needs lots of protection, for he is easy to kill.
