  • Its all about the madone....... Or cervelo p3

  • cool bike ^_^

  • If i lived in Japan i would really love to go out and ride my bicycle all day!

  • isnt any one worried about their bike getting stolen.....its out in the open !

  • @japanlove4rmcali - Is there anyone who can answer this? I'd like to know too because I'm seriously thinking about hiring a bike next time I'm in Japan and would hate having it stolen.

  • why is a kick stand so odd to people? It is likely Americans making bikes toys in their minds... not real transportation. Great video! I need to visit Japan one day.

  • Sick vid

  • Nice video - very informative - but that isn't really a tail light like you'd have to have on a bike in the UK; it's just a reflector.

    PS Like your bike!

  • @toddatron bro, i'm not a bro! heh otaku power!

  • no but seriously this is a really good video, and i like your bike.

  • @sarasan3 Cool.......... thanks bro. OTAKU is a nice compliment!

  • frist reaction when this video start play was :"OTAKU!"

  • ur bike is awesome!! if u dont mind me asking how much would u say??? couple of hundred mabey??

  • @etegg11 The base bike still goes for 1200.00 USD here... I paid 800.00 USD for the bike in USA and maybe 50.00 to ship as part of a larger lot.

  • where abouts u livin???

  • @etegg11 Saitama

  • Love Sapporo too...great resourceful information and I highly recommend that my son listen to your suggestions. Thanks for sharing....your the best in your class!

  • now all u need is more lights for nighttime riding

  • A brompton fold up bike would be perfect. Take the bike on the train and cycleoff

  • @eldictator1 There are many styles of folding bikes here from really cheap to actual mini racers with nice drive trains and fancy disc brakes. I like my big frame bike so I have to deal with a bulky bag if I travel.

  • hey dude!! thanks for the vid! two questions (im going to live in tokyo for a while..) how much is it for a cheap mamachari bycicle?? and if u r a bit drunk (still able to ride the bike), can u still go around with ur bycicle without getting punishment by the police?? thanks!!

  • Thanks for posting these videos. I'm going to study in Osaka and am bringing my bike, so I'm trying to get as informed as possible. I'm not down with riding on the sidewalk though! I guess we are just spoiled with bike infrastructure here in Portland.

  • Nice video, it answers my questions!

Thanks you very much and have nice rides!

  • Hey nice video u should check my channel out :)

  • man i love the first bike in your vid. i couldn't catch what it was called...montecherry? sherry? anyways how much did you get that for? i live in the US and am looking for a similar kind so i can commute to work.

  • @idkyoo, It's called a mamachari. It's pretty much the average bicycle you would see in Japan.

  • oh no, i don't know how to ride a bike.

  • How much to bikes usually run in Japan? I'm just wondering. How hard is it to modify a mountain bike? It's interesting that people will hold an umbrella and ride a bike at the same time. Where I live, people usually wear rain coats/ rain hats while riding their bikes since bike riding is really common.

  • @MadamWriterGal normal city bikes can cost anywhere from $100 for the most basic to $1000 for bikes that have electric motors on them. there are mountain bike shops in japan but parts are more expensive than what you can find online

  • Thank you so much for the information! It really helps me out. I will keep that in mind.

  • Send me the link when you post:)

  • Hey Todd these bicycle videos are how I found your channel. Really interesting stuff. Your Fisher is rad! I'll make a couple vids of my bike collection soon. I've got some pretty unique stuff.

  • I am lost on that one..... if it is a law then its not enforced like using an umbrella wile riding. They all do it... so do as the roman's on that one

  • you mentioned here that you have seen people being doubled on the back of the bike. What is the legality of doubling people on your bike in Japan?

Great vid man, although I am coming to expect all of yours to be quality :) just gonna watch part two now haha

  • @ensortion it is illegal to double up on bikes in japan. unless of course its a child in a baby seat on the back or front. its not enforced really but i have see police on bicycles stop people who are doubling up.
