  • That's where I plan to go to get myself a BA in history!

  • @tmntsplinterdude Thats rad, you are going to be an amazing historian - or something else?! Best of luck!

  • I currently have a 3.88 GPA at a community and I plan on going to UW if I can in a couple years. :)

I'll have my Associates in Science by then, so hopefully that makes things easier getting in.

  • Yeah, isn't the UW old quad almost like a British college --

  • oh my god! i love the song! and i fell in love with seattle.... i'm a senior high in philadelphia and want to go to college in seattle, probably UW or SC, i would appriciate if anyone here could tell me anything about it, is it good to move to seattle alone as a college student? is it affordable? safe? overall is it good? because i dont want to end up coming back at my 3rd year....pls anyone thank!

  • whats the average gpa/ sat of incoming freshmen?

  • @xBlinkdude182x like 3.5 GPA and 1900 SAT. I got accepted with a 3.3 and 2000

  • @xBlinkdude182x Not sure on this one, sorry :(

  • White people unite! Come join the National Alliance. You can view their web site just type in National Alliance.

  • I hope to get accepted there one day :)

  • @TwilightHostGirl I know you will!

  • I graduated from UW back in 1976 and now live in Hong Kong. I still enjoy the beauty of the campus when I have a chance to visit there.

  • @TheMrDerjillnoun Wow - thats so far. I hope you come back and visit one day.

  • my dad used to work there, sucks we moved across country so i cant attend uw now :(

  • @nigastolemyyoshi1

    why not?

  • @moe761 i still have state residency but my gpa is up to par but my sat score is not though :( i really like this school used to do summer programs there all the time. it crushed me when i moved

  • @nigastolemyyoshi1

How is the campus? How big are the classes? How good is the food? Any info on this university? I may apply there later this year

  • @moe761 campus is very beautiful especially in the spring time, while i was the classes were big and some small ones, depends on your major really, very good education that you will recieve. i think the food is better than the food here at my schools but idk if the food got better since ive been gone. There is always something going on, like recently there was a video on here where thousands of students played zombies while they were going to classes and stuff. you should look up that video

  • @moe761 i ran out of room, and the students are very friendly from whom i met there. If you are out of state, im letting you know it tends to rain alot. also you are in seattle so there is practically anything to do if you get bored on campus.

  • @moe761 Campus is great. Might want to bring a bicycle just in case you end up with a class in the Fisheries building or some other far off place. It's best to live on campus I think. Food is good but not cheap. The Ave is cheaper but you have a mandatory meal plan that you need to burn through first. Lectures are big but you should have a quiz section for each lecture that's on par with highschool sized classes. I don't mind massive lecture halls.

  • @moe761 There is always stuff to do on campus if you're the kind of person who gets stir crazy or just likes to have a life. As far as education is concerned so far it's been good. I'm on my last quarter as a freshman so I can tell you that the transition from high school to college is relatively painless. At least with the classes I took. Latin has kicked my ass but taking a year of a foreign language is a general education requirement so I'm glad I got it over with this year.

  • @moe761 If you live on campus generally you want to try for the residence halls in this order: Terry/Lander, McMahon, Hagget or McCarty, and Mercer. If anyone would like to weigh in on that order feel free. McMahon is awesome if you can get it but odds are you'll end up in Terry/Lander which is great for other reasons.

It's a good school and I hope you decide to apply.

  • @nigastolemyyoshi1 I hope you find someplace else fantastic to go to :)

  • campus during spring is amazing..

    great school :]

  • sad :( the quality of this video doesn't come close to doing UW justice. Beautiful campus.

  • well - why don't you make a better one.

  • sorry, didn't mean that to be rude. Thanks for putting the energy into posting this.

  • @Jantles True - and my apologies on that. I wish the quality was better also. I did get a new camera, so my future ones should be, and hats of course if you like to watch videos about my new puppy. :/

  • YES! I just got accepted here!

  • congrats!

  • @flutts57 can u make a higher quality video please?

  • @flutts57 if i may ask, what was your gpa?? i live in georgia and im really wanting to go there as an out of state student.

  • @flutts57 Gratz!! :D im going to try to get in! though i still have a couple of years since im still in 10th grade...but they have the best primary care medical shcool!

  • @flutts57 what was it like

  • i think last i heard was 65%female 30%male 5% unanswered

  • Hey, does anyone know the male/female population of uw seattle? o:

  • no it's more like 56% female, 44% male.

    with about 42% asian

    39 % white

    and the rest other...

  • I'm asian, but I find it sad how universities base it on if you are a "minority". Just because you are white doesn't necessarily mean you can automatically afford college. Sad...but true...:(

  • @pang704

I think the people should get free education are natives i mean think bout it pang. i'm guessin your chinese u have a country of origin we don't we little reservations that are on crap land I think we deserve something

    but uw sucks.

  • why?

  • @ubloom3 I am actually not chinese...I am hmong...we also don't have our country...we live in the remote mountains of thailand and laos...but I believe everyone should get education no matter if you are white, blacks, asians, native americans etc...I am just a minority defending some of my white friends who couldn't apply for scholarships just because they were white...that is it

  • is it expensive?

  • free for me!!! Financial aid cuz i'm a minority, well, I look white but i'm half asian, I milked that crap soo much there.

  • lmao hahah plzzzzzzzzzzzz help me...im a minority too and i cant seem to get even a $1 dollar scholarship

  • I am a student of the City college of New York. I'm planning to transfer out to UW. Can ne1 tell me about the engineering department. Specifically the Electrical Engineering program of UW.

  • Drool...my dream school for Speech Path.. : ]

  • I don't know.

  • I was born in Seattle, but then I moved (cringe). Do I have a better chance of getting in, originally being from Seattle?

    I get 3.8 GPAs

  • i got it with a 3.0, then again i'm a person from a minority group, which REALLY helps.

  • just say you have native american in you. then your in for sure.

  • @brzklt actuly your in luck! my brother who goes got accepted there says UW is looking for more diversity, if your out of state you almost get a little leway, and plus a 3.8 is way over there expectiations! they were hoping to see around a 3.4 or maybe a 3.5+. Your fine man just keep those grades up. P.S. my brother made it in with a 3.3

  • i want to get accepted here!! the school, the location and everything seems to be perfect for me!

  • Best of luck!

  • I graduated from here in 2006.

  • Cool!

  • go HUSKIES!

  • i just got accepted there, im so excited :)

  • so did I!!

  • omg me too!

  • Congrats

  • dont come here if its for undergrad science, everything is curved to a 2.6-2.8.

  • What do u expect? seriously dude, UW is one of the best schools in the country. Dont be an idiot and maybe you would get better grades.

  • easy tiger... be nice

  • Congrats!

  • great info on the side bar!

  • Thanks!

  • I am fortunate enough to graduate from UW in 1976. I have enjoyed the campus all these years.

  • Very pretty campus, I'm hoping to transfer here next fall!
