Come on, it wasn't THIS slow, i played the PAL version too. Maybe because it's on the PS2 with faster loads, but the ATB bars were certainly not set "fast" in this video.
Screw everyone, i totally agree with him... Most people would say that it is for dramatic effect and so that people can appreciate the graphics from 2001, but they could've sped it up slightly...
It was in fulll speed on the NTSC version, its just us sorry bastards that have to live in PAL regions that get the shit end of the stick from squaresoft! (like always)

Yes, PAL got battle scenes (that were already too slow) slowed down. And Wikipedia does not acknowledge this
However, this is the only case I know of that PAL got a lesser product, and in FFX, PAL got Dark Aions, Penance, and a bonus CD

Even in the US version, the ATB (Arthritic Tortoise Bar) is pretty slow in this game. Thank god for emulators to speed up framerates.

No the whole game was slowed down in PAL regions. So was FF10, Tidus runs like he has a pineapple up his bum!
