I was so bummed about this groups demise. This remains my favorite album of the 90's. I suppose that other than the GREAT music and musicianship they were utterly unmarketable. What a waste.
@abigail180496 The tune is riddled with metaphores, which is the genius of it. Can mean many things to many people. However, for me, its just a more creative way of saying "Frankie says wait dont do it". For those of u too young too know that little piece of pop crap.....pat ur selves on the back.
I worked for/with these guys and went through school with Craig. They are unbeleiveably hip and awesome musicians. So all you mudwellers can suck my ass.
I have the CD that this song comes from. I used to play it all the way through each time I played it. Great songs with great vocals, guitars, they had everything.
I remember working at South Seas Plantation...If I had to hear this song one more time...I swore I was going to off myself eckkk...almost happened too..i'm clumsy and I had to cut and serve raw meat ala boarshead to the posh and pompous..wasn't paying attention almost pulled a nick cage in moonstruck!
My gf turned me on to this group. She admits that they are "dorks." She may be right. I mean, c'mon, look at the lead singer's Coke-bottle glasses...but dorkiness and glasses aside...they pump out good music. I think I should be a better recording. God, I'm dorky. hahahaha...time for happy pills..bye mofos.
Great guitar work played by Kevin Hanson on this album. That was a great band, he is a great guitarist, and contributed toward a great compilation. Too bad it failed. Find the works of the Kevin Hanson Trio album. His song write and vocal ability will similarly draw you into this sound, yet with a separate unique composition to his work.
Off the hook!!!! The fact that this band isn't absolutly huge is a testament to everything that is wrong with the music "business". I've been singing their praises for a decade. Check out this album, not even a mediocre track.
Huffamoose will be reuniting on January 8, 2009 at the World Cafe in Philadelphia. The show will also feature Craig's solo work from his new project O.L.D., as well as music from the Fractals, and the Spinning Leaves.
I give this a 10 because there is so little about this great, great band that sadly exploded. Great CD, huge waste of potential. I miss them so much. Also, the song "James" is an absolute 10! Get the disk, you need it.
holy shit! these guys were great, back in '97 we had this alternative radio station that would play this song I remember almost killing myself over the name of the band they would never announce them or credit them after the song ended it wasn't until 2000 that I rediscovered them by searching the title "wait" on Kazza then I was able to sleep at night again, lol!cheers!
me too! our station would never announce band names, so I had to use the net to figure out Splender, Oleander, Dovetail Joint, No Address, Brother Cane, Back Lab, and of course these awesome guys! I feel your pain, that's why I almost became a radio DJ, so someone would do it right. ;)
Incredible song......loved it the first time I heard it. I wish these guys would have gone further. "Enigmatic" is also a fantastic song. Thanks for posting!

Sweet band :)~

my initial reaction is to LOL at their lack of style
but then I realize that I feel that way because I've been brainwashed by society to place importance on appearance and marketability.
and THEN I respect them for their clothing choices.

It's fucked up that the 90s now has the same quality look as the 80s.....Get off my lawn...etc.
