  • 0:22 He has full rudder to the left and applies a big bump of blip switch (to get a torque effect inpulse)

So it was totally made on purpose.

This old rhinebeck aerodrome has amazing stuff by the way

  • I was there this summer... They told me they still run the Camel's engine, but don't fly her anymore due to safety concerns...

  • Blipping the magneto to control the throttle. That's awesome.

  • so little rudder control once your on the ground!

  • lol. and to think this was normal back in the day! hahaha

  • I'm not sure about all of the planes there being original WW I aircraft but the engines are all era correct.

  • No original WW I aircraft flying there but the engines are era correct.

    scary

  • It's not a real Camel. It is a metal tube replic.

  • Still pretty cool. Are there any original WWI aircraft still flying at Rhinbeck? There were when I first started going about 25 years ago.

  • Safe!

  • Gotta hold that stick back! Watch at 0:23, stick goes forward, ground loop starts!

  • LOVE that engine sound !
