I was listening to 105.3 one day and this came on.In front of all my friends I just remember breaking into tears.See this past year both my parents died in a wreck.I just remember telling my dad I hate him then he left.I have much heart ache because of me.Other teen boys like me reading this.Go give your mom and dad a big hug and tell them you love them.You never know,this could be the last time you see them.You dont know how guilty i feel and all my depression.make sure you leave them clean.
@bucanon1110111 I lost my mom a while back. It is so painful. I'd really encourage you to think about how mature your dad was and how many times he saw your love for him. He was mature enough to know that even if you said you hate him, you didn't mean it. He knew you loved him. I'm sure you'll love people differently moving forward but don't kick yourself the rest of your life for something. I'm sure your dad would want you happy.
I lost my momma on 03-28-11. She was only 54. My cousin posted this on my facebook page days after the funeral and it hit a chord with me that has stuck. I agonize for my momma on a daily basis, and the only thing that makes it all bearable is the fact that one day we will all be together again.. God's grace never leads us where His mercy can't save us.

You can talk one-on-one with her every minute of the day. I lost my momma and there is really no making it easier or better. @JanelleCarpenter my aunt passed away almost a month ago after a brutal fight with cancer! but in her last couple of days she kept telling us that she would see all these people like her dad and grandmother who had all passed away a few years ago. I can only assume that they were waiting to be reunited with her as we will all be reunited one day too! but its just like the song says despite knowing that, we are still overwhelmed by the absence of that loved one! My mommy/bestest friend in the whole wide world passed away this past Monday. I'm heartbroken and scared, but will forever hold on to the HOPE that I will one day have her wrap me in her arms again. I am crying listening to this right now. First I thought that the person I miss most is my best friend, then I realized, my heart should be with God. My grandmother (my Noma) died two years ago, and the pain is still here, and the numbness is still here, and the tears are still here. But I promise you the memories get more joyful. Many of her friends were deeply touched, and I would like to believe that some of them have come to accept christ. Micah's family, her father Curtis and her mother Cathy, are still strong with the Lord, and they have been amazing examples of god's grace through this whole trial. Praise the Lord!

I lost my Great Grandma on Oct 27th and her funeral was on the 31st. Then after the funeral my Grandma got sick and went into the hospital and she went to be with Jesus on Nov 2nd. It has been very hard on us especially my mom since she lost her grandma and her mom in less than a week. Its hard but the main thing is they're not suffering anymore, they're now together and reunited with my great grandpa in heaven. Love this song! As christians we have a hope that we will meet in heaven. But that does not take away the sorrow. The hope brings comfort, but the sorrow is still there. "Homesick" is such a fitting metaphor.

On October 2nd, my beloved husband celebrated his first year in Heaven. He lost his life last year from Pancreatic Cancer. He never lost his faith in God - he had no fear of what he was facing because he knew God was with him during his whole journey. This song says it all for me. I can hardly wait to be Home with him. We celebrated our 32nd anniversary on September 30, 2010. We had our vows renewed at home. He was so weak, but he held off dying until two days later. He is greatly missed.

Just in in this year alone I have lost very close people in my life to death. I think the one that gets me the most though is my best friend who killed herself. Knowing she wasnt saved makes me want to go out and tell everybody about God so that dont happen agian.

A very close friend of mine lost her father 3 days ago. He had cancer. I walked with her on this journey for 2 years and he has impacted my life in such a HUGE way. I know he is home with the Lord. and I praise God that he is. I love you Mr. Kramer!

@JanelleCarpenter my aunt passed away almost a month ago after a brutal fight with cancer! but in her last couple of days she kept telling us that she would see all these people like her dad and grandmother who had all passed away a few years ago. I can only assume that they were waiting to be reunited with her as we will all be reunited one day too! but its just like the song says despite knowing that, we are still overwhelmed by the absence of that loved one! My grandmother (my Noma) died two years ago, and the pain is still here, and the numbness is still here, and the tears are still here. But I promise you the memories get more joyful. I have the best memories of my Noma, and whenever I'm sad I remember her. Loss makes life bittersweet, but at least in the chaos and pain we have the Lord. I'll be praying.

Many of her friends were deeply touched, and I would like to believe that some of them have come to accept christ. Micah's family, her father Curtis and her mother Cathy, are still strong with the Lord, and they have been amazing examples of god's grace through this whole trial. Praise the Lord!

This song made me cry the other night...I was lying in bed and I was singing it to myself... and it seemed like pretty much every line of the lyrics was exactly how I felt...and the memories flooded back ("I close my eyes and I see your face") and I felt like my heart is not here because it's not happy like I used to always be ("if home's where my heart is then I'm out of place") and tears just rolled down my cheeks.... It still makes me cry and I still hurt so much, but God gives me strength!

I lost my Great Grandma on Oct 27th and her funeral was on the 31st. Then after the funeral my Grandma got sick and went into the hospital and she went to be with Jesus on Nov 2nd. It has been very hard on us especially my mom since she lost her grandma and her mom in less than a week. Its hard but the main thing is they're not suffering anymore, they're now together and reunited with my great grandpa in heaven. Mamaw and Grandmommy I will always love you and miss u and will see you again soon.

Love this song! As christians we have a hope that we will meet in heaven. But that does not take away the sorrow. The hope brings comfort, but the sorrow is still there. "Homesick" is such a fitting metaphor.

My mother died in 2009 a week before thanksgiving it will be two years on the 19th but i miss her as if she just died yesterday. I know she's in a better place and no longer suffering but how can you find peace when everything you see reminds you of your loved ones. On October 2nd, my beloved husband celebrated his first year in Heaven. He lost his life last year from Pancreatic Cancer. He never lost his faith in God - he had no fear of what he was facing because he knew God was with him during his whole journey. This song says it all for me. I can hardly wait to be Home with him. We celebrated our 32nd anniversary on September 30, 2010. We had our vows renewed at home. He was so weak, but he held off dying until two days later. He is greatly missed.
