i love this song i really do. but if your a "non-believer" one of whom has no knowledge of mary mary's genre this song could easily be interpreted as a tune for a "man" any man. They should definitely proclaim its Jesus they are referring to.

MarieMickey: I think it's QUITE clear who they are singing about, lol! They don't need to say "Jesus" and "God" for people to comprehend the subject of the song. I understand why you would feel that way but I think they were trying to appeal to a broader audience (perhaps). We all know that they are gospel singers but not everyone is religious (like myself) plus they are pretty contemporary. I enjoy some of their songs with this being one of my favorites! =)
