It depends on what stores are around you. Find a store that sells computer software, you should be able to find it in there. If you're paying for it, the lastest version costs $699 USD.

I used the line to cut the solid colour into two sections, I selected the section which was going to be shading and then I made it slightly darker using the colour mixer.

It wont let me seperate things with the line though! If I use the paint thing, it paints the whole inside D:

Make sure the line is on the same layer and cuts through the whole fill. Try it on simple shapes first, like a circle.

I use Pivot 3.0 and it crashes every now and then but i save my work in the middle of it so if it does crash i only loose a little of my work.Pivots better than Macromedia by far.Pivot i soooo easy. Flash takes too long Just look,This vid is 5 minutes just too make a simple animation. No offence Krumeater but i think you should go back to pivot.

Pivot's easy when you're starting out but any decent animator will tell that what pivot makes up for in it's learning curve it lacks in productivity and expandability. It's a good learning tool but you'll burn yourself out trying to make something of flash quality in a 16 bit program., and even if you do good luck exporting the gif anything half as good as the pivot.

Anyway nice "not a tutorial" it was kinda helpful? :D

I don't think you should be telling this guy what to do, whether Pivot is a better programme or not (and the shear fact is, Pivot is far worse) - but if one wants to become professional in animation, he must step beyond the boundaries of Pivot. Besides, YOU like Pivot and HE likes Flash, so maybe you should let people choose what they want to do themselves instead of pestering them with your childish arguments.
