  • Join TVP-Activism, not the zeitgeist movement. Or well, join both, even better. :)

  • The Worlddoesnot need a society like this. The world ever needed persons like Napoleon, Alexander der Grosse, Julius Caesar, Nero,Stalin and maybe myself one day... because if the world wouldnot need them, they would not became so big. How big is J. Fresco?

  • @djalexrain1 The world does not need a dictator. That's like saying a woman beater is the best choice for all women. And that the Nerd or Lame (derogatory of an actual good person) is the dumbest choice a woman can go for in her whole life. Flip it around, and you'll find most women's decisions to be broader and develop into total rationality. In the case of Jacque Fresco, he's like the nerd, the solution, but not traditional or easy to transition to without drawbacks to current progression.

  • How i said, funny science fiction, but i prefer Gene Rottenberry and Isaac Asimov..

  • i just love that man: Jacque Fresco

  • Love this guy...

  • @opcn18 he is architect, sciencist, designer, natural disaster preventing, engineer, etc...

  • @insanelaboratory What has he done in those field? I can draw a picture of a building and call myself an architect but I that doesn't make me one. What has he contributed to science? Has he published anything? Has he been paid to work for anyone?

  • @opcn18 Fresco is of the oldschool type. In his early days he was a prolific inventor. He worked on aircraft, architecture, automobiles, medical devices, and an array of varying tool and devices. He's not an academic so he doesn't publish in journals. He's more focused on the bigger picture of society and the future of human evolution. His concern with these issues has proven him to also be a philosopher, a poet, and some say, a prophet. In actuality, you can give him dozens of labels.

  • @jacquefresco But what has he developed, what innovations did he make for airplanes, buildings, automobiles, medical devices etc. So far as I can tell the only think that he ever designed that made it off of paper and into production are some drafting tools, which represent some clever understanding of geometry but don't exactly make you a visionary.

You can give him dozens of labels, but I want to know what he has actually accomplished.

  • @opcn18 Various improvements for aircraft design in the 1930s and early 1940s. His design for the Trend Home in the 1940s was well received. Many of his older inventions were absorbed into industry. Much of his work was as free lance inventor, meaning he paid for his work but does not get his name on the patent. But best of all is the Venus Project itself. His inventions are not what have made him well known. It is his philosophy and his skill as a teacher.

  • @jacquefresco even if he doesn't have his name on a patent and even if (especially if) something has become industry standard it would still be nice to know that he developed X, Y, or Z.

From where I stand it looks like he is "teaching" people exactly what they desperately want to hear. It's very easy to do that, but I see no evidence that he has thought carefully about things. It's clear that he has thought extensively, but not so much that anything he has ever done has been put to test.

  • @opcn18 Admittedly, Gazecki did not do very well in exploring Fresco's past in any detail.

  • @opcn18 You might read his wikipedia.

  • @jacquefresco looks like he went to Douglas, came up with things that he thought were great but they thought were deathtraps, then he worked for the army where he prolifically produced ideas that the army didn't ever use. He went on to design an attractive glass and aluminum building that never caught on because no one wanted to live in it. He ran a lab into the ground (not a condemnation, but not ringing praise).

It's all consistent with my understanding that he talks a good game but that's it.

  • @opcn18 Nowhere on earth is there a shred of information that supports those cynical claims.

  • @jacquefresco I read his wikipedia page as per your suggestion.

  • @opcn18 That you've drawn such cynical conclusions drives me to infer that you must have a preconceived inclination to dislike him.

  • @jacquefresco What do you think it meanswhen you leave an employer over disagreements about " safety design disagreements"? It means that they thought his experimental designs were unsafe. Where is the information about his patents being used? Why didn't his cheap homes get built? Why did his lab go under?

I have come to a conclusion about Jaques based on what he teaches that I know to be false, you are confusing prejudice with judgement.

  • @opcn18 He left Douglas because he warned about flaws in a design. The plane crashed. He and his superior was asked to resign because they had pointed out the flaw and their higher authorities ignored it. How would that look for the higher authorities when two younger employees tell you there is a problem and you ignore it. They gotta go. There is no way to get information about his patents being used. These patents were in private ownership, with company names on the patents.

  • @opcn18 His homes weren't built because of their low cost. At that time they were about half the price of normal houses. Therefore, if you build a bunch of them in a neighborhood, you lower the real estate value of surrounding homes. The zoning board was not in favor of that. It was a structural aspect of the social system that prevented the construction of those houses. Eventually a small neighborhood of them were built decades later. But by then, their economic advantage had faded.

  • @opcn18 His lab went under because it was located where the state of California wanted to build the Golden State Freeway. They paid him for his lab. In the past he had financial troubles because he's not a business man. Nikola Tesla had similar problems. Inventors are often taken advantage of if they fail to become business snakes.

  • @jacquefresco All of his arguments are untested, so they basically rest on his authority as a thinker, and as a person with a long and successful career in design. I just want to point out that his career is almost devoid of any success, that he is not a great industrial designer, that his ideas need to be judged not on his merit but on their own, where I am quite sure that they fall to bits.

  • @opcn18 Much of his argument is derived from hypotheses that have already been tested. Many of his grandest hypotheses are still untested indeed. It requires funds for such large scale experiments. Again, he's not a savvy business man. A man's greatness is not measured by his success. Haven't you ever heard that? Only a shallow and lazy thinker judges a man's by his success. Success correlates with one's ability to conform to the system that gives rewards. Conformity is not legitimacy.

  • @opcn18 he is 95, he worked all his life in different places and since 1975 is creating venus project, today he have 10 buildings in venus with own energy, own food, own lab etc.

  • Who wants to live in the water and eat fish? Man has born to stand on the earth and eat meat. Living under water without daylight is nonsense. Its a funny dram of a stupid old man. Most people who want "change the world" are not able to change their own life and clean their own unimportant problems. Most of them are hookers who are angry because they dont have the money and the girls. Thats the thing.

  • @djalexrain1 why so negative?

  • @djalexrain1 Yeah, Jacque Fresco is a hooker. You're a moron.

  • Oh the music, why?

  • do i have to believe in this to become reality or just a dream that will never come true

  • im sorry but the music really sucks

  • Anyone notice that the building at 1:44 is on the cover of Owl City's album Ocean Eyes? Adam should credit Jacque Fresco!

  • @DrMediterranean The image on the cover shows the Al Burj Arab hotel in Dubai.

  • What a horror trip... I won't live like that !!

  • @buddhistpunk2211 I think the point is there are many ideas for life and homes and you don't have to imagine the worst... imagine the freedom and the concept he has put forth... 'declare the world the common heritage of all the worlds peoples'... its about liberating us to make our world beautiful, sustainable and sane... that's all.

  • Wish we could all come together to make this come true

  • if men make this all possible i dont think God the king of creation will be too happy with it. i mean this is too much no need for it all wow.

  • you are my favorit architect and im sure gonna be like you one day

  • Go Movie World . com - it's free here

  • Someone needs to donate for this, us.

  • WTF!? Before you watch the movie somewhere for free online, please consider that this documentary cost REAL money to produce, and our only way of making the investor his money back on the film (notice I did not say make a profit...we're nowhere close to that) is through DVD sales. Please don't be so inconsiderate. -William Gazecki, Future by Design Producer/Director

  • please put your link here to purchase the film directly William - I bought it directly from you for that reason because I appreciated the work and time and money you put into this film... you have brought the world of Jacque Fresco to all of us - I'm in gratitude.

  • I wish he was my relative that way I could sit with him and listen to him talk all day, he's such an inspiration, and a motivator of a new age of thinking...

I honestly believe we all can overcome the oppression of money and government. we just need a few more open minded people that are willing to stand up with us... Join the Zeitgeist movement, so we can TRULY live in a free and life driven society

  • @javonne you don't need him to be family. I have sat and talked to him, often. Although there tends to form a huddle of people round him listening. Make you you go to one of the lectures, you'll get to meet him if you want to.

  • omg. fantastic film seen it already at "bigmovies4free", anybody else seen it? a really funny film

  • @IsabelBevan6462

bigmovies4free installs a trojyan when you enter the site

  • I wish there were more people like him in the world. Istead we have a million corrupted people for each one like jaque fresco

  • People like him keep me inspired.

  • Reality is always founded by dreams and visionary people. One day human race shall be a civilized and educated race that will find peace

  • you want to really make this a Reality? Learn to share with others it will happen much faster. Sharing is so much fun and simple, even if you just have a coat on your back. If you see someone shivering in the cold go share your coat with that person and cuddle with them to keep warm, small things like that will get us to the big things that life can offer.

It is the small things in life that makes a difference.

Educate yourself and Learn to Share Then Life will be simpler for all.

  • I HATE MONEY >:(

It's one thing stopping all of your dreams.

  • guys think this really are future, money will be surpassed by automation, job loss, and global debt.i see are race will become wise enough to understand that the free enterprise system has over stayed its welcome!

i bought the dvd and i love it!

    Jacque is a modern davinci

  • join the zeitgeist movement - the activist arm of the venus project - we can overcome money

  • All these darn comments are about the buildings. How shallow is that?

The guy is talking about abolishing war. Anyone grown up enough to have a comment about that?

Or do you want to keep what we got now - lots of crime and aggression, plus the dirt and filth we can't be bothered enough to clean up.

  • Viva Jacques Fresco !

  • Scary aesthetics? Don't you think that's a bit of an overreaction? You may not like the style of his buildings, but don't throw out all of the amazing ideas that elevate humanity because your taste in architecture is different. That seems really shallow to me. These are just possible representations of how things could be, not some " This is the new world order, you must conform" type thing. He's not the Borg ya know? ;)-

  • Great work ;)

  • think your asking me where I got the episodes.. right? lol.

As I said to AntaurisProtector, I downloaded these episodes off a SRMT website. But the website closed down last year.

  • It's the opposite of the NWO. The removal of powerful elitism. No?

  • great film!

  • OMG soo f*cking cuuute cars!!! :O I want one!! :(

  • Do you want one to the joy of owning the car as a social status object? or do you want to use it and have fun with it and its design? The Zeitgeist talks about a new era which you don't want stuff just for people to see you have stuff - It talks about having stuff for the good of the society and your own good.

  • yeahh i have fucking seen the movie.. and yeah it.. schh now .. :) love peace and understanding

  • I guess we may only see change in our world. When we are ready to change, ourselves and the way we think about the future of our children.

  • The real big question agrivating the minds of anyone interested in future progressions toward a new utopian world, isn`t so much about `HOW` do we acheive it but rather about. `WHY` has it not yet been done!

The reason for this boils down not to money, but rather our own fear of change.

staying in the better the devil we know, than the devil we dont, kind of mind set.

For any possible future change to happen, will take a radical re`direction in the hearts and minds of the people. (us)

  • It seems that scientific progress has been halted, aside from the Internet and cell phone techology and HDTv, there is nothing really new.

If were to move towards this kind of life system on Earth it would advance things, but some of it still needs to be finetuned. For example, his 'garden city' apartment complexes look identical to one another -- they resemble public housing (Cabrini-Green?) which is dull and dreary.

  • and to think hes 94... and to think we could of done this 30 years ago...

  • think this way,why be part of the system if you can just neglect it,boycotting and above all showing others whats going on,and show them they dont need to be afraid of starting to have a pro active atitude, you know.

  • Cuz once youre dealing with actual system/way of life, its just a matter of time until someone starts censor you or corrupt you,by putting you doing some boring work, you know that type of stuff. We need to start thinking diferently, questioning ourselves, and trying to improve every single day of our lives. We dont do that cuz were to busy/worried thinking on a way to pay the bills, basically surviving instead of doing something useless.

  • yeah, but think on the other hand, why continue supporting the monetary system, and give them reasons to say that the VP isnt able to survive without the money.Instead of donating money,WE should donate the tools, materials and above all the knowledge

  • (Your range of thoughts is limited by the dominant values of your society...) We can make it if we brake this barriere

  • I think that Opensource follows the that objective

  • I donate money directly to the venus project. I feel like I am actually contributing towards something. If I give my money to a homelss person or an Africa appeal charity its only a short term solution to a long term problem. We need to dig deeper than just seeing what is obvious in front of us in the form of the news or whatever means. The problem is money, and phasing it by helping Jacque Fresco and his team get the Venus project underway will benefit all of humanity.

  • well said, but the Venus Project doesnt need money to became a reality,it needs ideas and that people join and work together.

Its because of the money this isn´t a reality yet .

    MONEY=GREED

(sorry for my bad english, hope you guys get my point of virew)

  • Yes I do agree, but unfortunately any organization in today's society still needs to operate in a system where goods, services, materials etc need to be obtained by money. Its very sad. if money didn't exist, quite right, this could be happening now, but its not! Hence why I think its incredibly satisfying and beneficial to donate a couple of dollars each month

  • But yeah,i agree with what you said, nowadays, money will be envolved,in one way or another. And thats why WE need to act,and WE need to start boycotting the system we currently live in,but above all,WE shouldnt let the Movement to die,cuz its not the first time People try to come together

  • You are right,we don't need money! We also don't need politics but i think that you have to become a part of that system to have a chance of destroying it...

  • Let everybody know, make them watch Zeitgeist, Zeitgeist: Addendum. Make them become a part of the movement, watch these videos and inform themselves, and ask them to tell their friends and to keep spreading it.

We must unify, set aside differences and join together. Stop copying the past and instead LEARN from our past mistakes. We must look to the FUTURE, utilize technology and move forward.

  • Don't make them, show them. We have to work together.

  • where do I sign up??? i wanna live in this world, lets do it already...

  • We are going to destroy each other or we are going to make it ))))

  • The monetary systems are failing. We need to use this mans knowledge to the fullest extent.

  • it's not just this man's knowledge. What he talks about is not "his invention" but the logical extrapolation of how the world should be according to the humans' potential and our capability to live sustainably utilising resources and our technology to the maximum. Animals don't use money, and they live sustainably, with no wars, no corruption, have everything they want.

He is a genious, though, and we have to make this happen. Every one of us, and all together. Now.

  • I second that

  • With the world on the Edge of a Collapse of money and it will, it is nice to see we can all come together and create a new world without money.

Even if we don't use all the ideas at least we have a direction to go. We need to start somewhere.

  • Deberiamos empezar por retomar un idioma universal, y que mejor que aprender a hablar Esperanto en todo el mundo

  • Respect Fresco! Follow his dreams and find yourself recreating life as if it always supposed to be like that. A few hundred years from now when we reached the ultimate goal of a new society, the people will look back at us the same way we look upon people from the middle ages.

  • Amazing!

More people need to see this

A cidade reflete a sociedade. Iacy Barros

  • This man is amazing, i always thought i could change the world but watching this leaves me shocked.

What can we do to bring that world to become real? To hunt the fears of men? To leave foolish and selfish men's interests of power aside? To erradicate poverty and hunger? Everyone deserves a chance to make it to the top. Not those that got lucky in their lives.

  • i agree, only if there were some kind of support to put this movement in motion.

  • the start is to spread the word, pass it to everyone you know

  • Ебош парень ебошь))) шстой отряят)

  • /watch?v=YXNt29GUhVk&feature=channel_page

  • Awesome!!!

  • There was a building identical to the Burj Al Arab hotel in dubai in the 1m44s, Why?

  • Very Interesting!

    *****

  • Cool stuff :-)

  • at a minute forty six seconds in, that building looks just like something already built in dubai, and strangely enough dubai may be the closest thing to the venus project being built right now however it is unfortunately based on an oil economy

  • pardon that, i mean closest not including his own work, this man truely inspires me

  • Look at the altruism of this guy!! He's well aware that hes not going to see the venus project in much of its glory, yet hes done all this for the benefit of mankind. Legend. Thank you!

Theres an argument that can easily refute those tools who say its a 'NWO' of agenda's. What negative vested interests could people like him and others involved like Peter Joseph have when this project will likely be more finalised outside their time?

    Its simply a benevelont idea.

  • Your soooo on point. I have said this before. That if I am lucky I may see this starting to take shape before I die if I am fortunate to live that long. Hoping this is a future my kids can live in and if not them then their kids.

  • Exactly. Everyones happiness is ephemeral really, in the grand scheme of things. The only thing thats really important is to endeavour for future everyobodies to have happiness, that way its more eternal...or something like that haha. Im sure when it gets in motion its development will be expidential - rapidly grow basically. Anyway keep educated friend! :)

  • I am totally convinced a society like this can happen in less than half a century. Look at the past, communism took about 50 years for it to be commonly known and implemented. Now that change happens even faster, I see it happening very soon. Especially with the fall of monetaryism.

  • If this is the NWO then i am soo there. Sadly i know it not to be so. I am always for lesser of two evils, or better yet no evil at all. sign me up.

  • Is this guy 92? Wow he looks pretty healthy for that age...looks around 70 lol maybe 80

The future better give credit to this man, its a fact that we will not survive for a few more centuries if we continue our ways, believing in religious myths, being victim to media propaganda and the fact that most of us are lazy

  • I am all for this and thank you

    *****

  • Me too :)

  • As long as the monetary system is still working, it's understandable, isn't it?

  • any movement awat from our monetary system must start in a monetary system and for a time ahere to its faults

  • Yes, I do.

I think actual voluntarism, to build even a small city, would be of great help, instead of just sending money.

Plus, since you can't download and see the whole idea, it seems suspicious that you have to buy the DVDs.

  • If you want to learn more about Jacque Fresco's ideas and designs they are covered in more detail in the movie Zeitgeist Addendum and there are 2 audio interviews with him on the zeitgeist movement web page, all of which are free

  • I will do my best to make this happen. The system must fall!Revolution of the consciousness-that's what we need!Jacques Fresco you are a GREAT MAN!Accept my admirations!

  • Jacque Fresco is the man.

  • Realists might be often right, but optimists accomplish more.

  • Obviously, you dont understand the matrix. But then again, we cant expect you to understand too much.

  • I will try my best to answer all your questions based on what I was able to gather from this project.

~what would happen if no one ever dies?~ Impossible, everything dies, it's the law of the universe.

~scarcity would progress in a limited resource world what about food?~ This world isn't limited, plant life grows back yearly.

~who will grow and hunt food? robots?~ Humans and automatize systems alike.

~natural disaters? would that maybe kill a grid who would repair it?~ Above Answer.

  • That is amazing, Jacque. This vision of the future is the one that needs to happen, and get started in changing this corrupted and blind world we live in today. One day.

  • go jacque!!!!!

were gunna make this happen, regardless of all the cerebral insufficients in this world say!!!!!

  • If we can just deal with the parasitic bankers, deceptive organized religion, and the secretive ruling elite, maybe we'll have a chance. Until then, we will destroy each other. I like this man's optimism though to think of such a world. I like the idea of building cities in shape of circles.

  • The politicians of this world don't want a world in peace, they want a world where everyone is afraid of what is going to happen tomorrow and being slaves of time and money.

  • I really recommend anyone to watch the full documentary, it's absolutely amazing.

  • Wonderful! It reminds me of the fantastic e-book that I downloaded from rael-dot-org

  • omg that was cool. i hope i still live when when thay build those.

  • i now know what george bush was talking about,we really can co-exist with fish

  • Magnificent. This is the future the way it used to be.

I'm glad someone still sees it this way. I hope at least some of it can come to pass. Function with form.

  • "Extrapolations!" I love it.

  • As technology becomes more efficient and eventually more inexpensive and widespread, the quality of life all over the world will improve. Then all we would need is a society that was based upon the values of kindness and cooperation.

  • It is inspiring to see people with such high hopes for the future. I as a pessimistic look at all those interesting designs and numerous thoughts race through my head. What fuels this future society? What has global warming change our environment into? Really I ask myself how in the hell does this mess in the middle east get fixed? Because if all or any of these problems we face aren't addressed and solved than we as a "civilization" will ultimately fail.

  • Even as a pessimist, you are asking the important questions! That is great! Instead of proclaiming how something wont work, you ask HOW IT CAN BE DONE, and with that we begin moving toward an answer! Kudos and thanks for being respectful and respectable!

  • Well thanks. I now look at my comment only 2 weeks later and see a minor contradiction in it. First off being that if peak oil hits, meaning we start to run out, what perpetuates global warming? If oil is no longer an issue how many problems in the middle east are solved? Though I do think we will take a hard hit, I now am thinking peak oil will be the best thing to happen to us. Quite ironic.

  • What an amazing compilation of a very realistic possible future that renders needless human suffering and warfare into extinction. We, as human beings, can decide to move into the direction of the future designed by Fresco more easily than hanging on to perpetual warfare, mass destruction, apathetic arrogance, and abusive irresponsible consumerism. Indeed, the future we see here is merely a matter of choice and cooperation. That is our true challenge!

  • Beautiful, Jacque! I enjoy the design so much, but the message underlying your ideas is truly the most beautiful.

  • Simply jaw dropping in style. I wish I lived in this future that never was.
