MK Deadly Alliance was the only one weak mk game. Deception is 100x better. Every fighter has his/her own voice, 2 fatalities & Hara-Kiri, catchy storyline.

Scorpion, Liu Kang, Jade, Mileena, Ermac, Shao Kahn, Kabal and Ermac are my favs in this game.

I only have 10 minutes per video, you know. Also, you tend to use the combos which deal the most damage or you can use well...You don't do Square X if Square Circle does more damage.

You have to break the casing around it 1st, with either a melee strike or with a special attack. Once broken, I think, if I remember correctly, it is the R1 button to pick up the weapon. To get rid of it, just change style.

It's definitely between Deadly Alliance and Shaolin Monks. It depends what you want really. Do you want a fighting game, like these videos here, or do you want more of a platform based game? Personally, I think the versus on Shoalin Monks although very good, could have been made a lot better and so a little lacking.

Deadly Alliance would probably be the best choice in hindsight of my 'vast knowledge'...but get Shaolin Monks too. :D

Although I'm not sure if this had to be sacrificed at the level of characters playable, as I'm not fully aware of the game to Consol limits with MK

This game is really good.I picked it up used yesterday along with Metal Gear Solid 2 and Syphon Filter: Omega Strain. Deception reminded me of Deadly Alliance only Deception is a better game to me graphically and move wise. The fatalities i have not seen much of in this one yet.

Unfortunately Syphon Filter: Omega Strain is a really rubbish game, but then again since the original they haven't been much cop.

And yay for getting this game! Personally I prefer Deadly Alliance, because of the flow; but it would be great to incorporate better graphics and the Breaker system into that too.

Oh and by the way, you'll soon come to call Raiden (MGS) and his little girlfriend by Mr. and Mrs. 'oh not you again'. (Yahtzee reference. xD)

would i be right saying this is the best mk game out of all the 3-D ones, and what have they done with mk vs dc universe, i mean what the hell its not even close to a mk game, bah! we need a proper next gen mk game, bring back rpg konquest mode, puzzle combat, chess combat and ramp up the whole game with beautiful graphics and stunning animation and charcter models. lots of gore and brutal fatalities, finally maybe even way bigger arenas with fully destructable enviroments... anyone with me???

As far as a fighting game goes, I'd say Deadly Alliance and MK vs DC are the best of the 3D MK games. Deception and Armageddon were WAAAAAAAAAAy to slow for me. MK vs DC may not have an RPG mode, and gory fatalities. But at least you don't have to struggle just to imput a simple combo. I'd rather a polished fighting engine over filler content(fatalities, adventure modes, car racing etc.)anyday. MK vs DC is the first of th 3D mks since Deadly Alliance that ive actually had fun playing.

Mortal Kombat Deception(and more so in Armageddon)had a TERRIBLE lag in between the button presses. You press "Square, Square, Triangle" to have only "Triangle requester" it just made the combat way to slow and sluggish. I was a beast in Deadly Alliance with Kenshi. But the terrible lag in between the attack commands made playing with Kenshi a terrible chore in Armegeddon. It was so hard just to finish a combo. He would always stop in the middle of my button presses. MK vs DC got it right again.

MK vs DC isn't too bad of a game. I thought I'd hate it, and there is a small part of me which does, but if you look at it not being an MK game, then it makes sense.

As to your reference, Tekken will never lose over Mortal Kombat, Tekken has just taken the better, freeflow, route.

i dont agree man..mk is way better than tekken..dont count mk vs dc coz its lame..but in terms of storyline,characters,violence and weapons mk is wayyyyy better!! tekken revolves around mishima family only..mk is all rounded..tekken's bad ass guys are mainly kazuya,heihachi,paul and marduk..while mk has a lot of variety to choose from: guys like baraka,scorpion,kano,noob,shao kahn,goro,shang tsung and many more are unmatched!

You're basically saying Mortal Kombat is cooler than Tekken, which I'd probably agree with, but it isn't better than their Gaming franchise. Tekken is just a lot more fluent and thought out.

i thought deception was up-to-now, the best 3d mortal kombat game. armageddon was alright was with so many characters, everyone had to be weak and shared so many of the same combos and special moves. i also think create a kombatant breaks the game. i'm all for it in other types of games, but mk characters are good enough as they are. don't need to create ones that are stupidly powerful.
